I agree with this, but

It is already confirmed he will not play any single minute in 2019-20 even in the playoff.

Where dd you find this? I've seen a couple articles in the past few days saying the Nets aren't ruling out a 2019-20 return and I've never seen anything to the contrary.

I guess, it would be commercial suicide for Nets if they announce already that their biggest superstar ever is shut down for the season already, and I guess it will not be released until March. But already after surgery in the middle of June it is known that fastest recovery time for such injury is 9 months, but no way (super)max worthy player which was hard injured because he rushed his comeback will rush things once again even if the team is enough crazy to ask it from him. Before offseason started it is common truth that Durant is already done with 2019-20 season whoever want to sign with him, but now, of course, Nets will do everything to make KD virtually live this season, to sell his jersey, and make Brooklyn playoff race more entertaining for their fans when they will believe until last moment that Durant will be ready for postseason. Maybe it is just me, but everything looks so expected in this case.

Injuries are huge. Durant would be 2 if not for injury.

People keep backflipping to act like giannis wasn't better than a healthy durant last season and i'm not sure why. his team was worse, his stats were worse, and his game is clearly far more dependent on his teammates than giannis is.

I think KD and Kawhi were the undisputed 2 best players in the playoffs before KD s injury.

Based on what? PPG?

Giannis is a vastly better defender and unlike the other two, is the whole basis for his team's offence AND defence. And yet his team posted a top 30 time all srs and went 12-5 in the playoffs while durant's went 6-4. Durant's team is better off without him than without his best teammate.

How can you argue a player with a much smaller role for a team that was worse in the playoffs and the regular season was better than a player who had amuch bigger role for a team that was better in both?


Why dont' we hear an actual argument for durant outside of ppg before making "undisputed" claims. Because the data nor the team's achievements with either on the court agree with you.
