Reading the summer league hype on players and then them crashing and burning during the season is fun.

Wonder who’s going to be the most over hyped this season.

Jazz fans gave him the nickname Cobra Kai. Just chipping in where I can...

Celtics summer league team has been impressive, besides that Lakers team who won the SL I don't remember a team that conveyed such a good feeling.

Is there some sort of reward/incentive for doing well in Summer League for these teams?

I just have a hard time taking SL that seriously when Josh Hart was MVP last year and then has about the same season as he did in year 1. I thought about making the trip down to Vegas, but eh.

Another example of why Draft Twitter sucks. Once they have a hate boner on someone, nothing can and will change their opinion. And for some reason they hated Hachiimura more than anyone else. Never posted a single positive thing about him, even in games where he had like 30 and 15 but god forbid he had a bad game. Then the negatives were examined and exaggerated like he was the worst prospect in the history of the NBA.

Editing in a better video with more highlights...

Spoiler:

For some reason this doesn't show the 3-PTer he hit off the dribble as well as some other plays (the other block block and the O-boards were nice too).

Looking like a steal for Washington.

I think he'll ultimately put on some weight and play the Four, but hopefully something like this, yeah.

Looking at SPL stats the 3 young Clipper prospects have great stats.

Mann does it all
Kabengele is a helluva scorer and can rebound, but not much else
JRobinson shooting the 3 well

Hopefully one of these guys pans out to being a big contributor next year. The pressure is on JRobinson as as sophmore to do something to justify his draft slot.

He’s about 20lbs lighter right now than his playing weight at UCF (290lbs vs 310lbs). It’s helped tremendously...

And even in the summer league, nba has better spacing with shooters and no zone rules.

I'm not quite ready to go there yet but he's got some juice for sure. I looked him up because I hadn't heard of him and one draft guide called him the best athlete not named Zion in the draft. Great value in the second round, even if raw.
