Similar or slightly better talent level, plus add a full season worth of continuity which we didn't have last year due to constant trades and roster reshuffles.

That means we got better, not worse this offseason.

Wow. Horford isn’t remotely close to Butler.

Richardson isn’t nearly the same as Redick. He’s a slightly better version of Covington.

Neto is a third stringer...

There's a thing in the NBA. It's called defense. It is 50% of the game.
But you need refs to give you calls. In today's game it is bit over rated. That van fleet guy stepping up hitting all those shots got Toronto their Championship. Sure his good defense helped in them winning but just make 50%+ of your 3 pointers and odds are your teams is going to win.

I mean, maybe his d is that much better, but he shot almost 5% worse on 3's on 2 less attempts per game and had a 1 per less stat.

Reddick is getting long in the tooth, and the decade saved there should help, but I for one hated Reddick more than anyone when playing the sixers, so hard to game plan for, cuz how do you stop 3's from 3 ft behind the line?

The Sixers defense was compromised with Reddick and Harris, they had to let one of them go and at least with Harris he's got the size to hide on stretch 4s & 5s. Reddick's shooting will be missed but his defense was every bit as bad as his shot was good, honestly the Celtics beat them in that series in large part because Brad just kept targeting Reddick. It's why Rozier, Brown and Tatum had such a good series, the Sixers were always scrambling to cover for him or shade to protect him when he got caught in a mismatch.

I think the Sixers will be able to bring ugly ball back with their new lineup and win a lot of ugly looking games where their opponent is struggling to score.

So you forgot about the 3 ball. Embiid struggles to play 60 games and now you have think he should play grimy style. He will be crying by March.

They just lost their second best player and only shot creator on the wings.

How did they forget about the 3 ball? Harris, Horford and Richardson are all 3 point shooters, and if Embiid can improve a bit there that gives them 4 threats in their starting 5.

So, your analysis to them having a great defense and potentially gritty style of play is that they wont, because Embiid will be crying by March? Thanks Skip.

Did you learn nothing from Kawhi? Doesn't matter how many games he plays in the RS if he's playing in the postseason. Sounds like you'll be the one crying in March

Boston maybe lots stronger without Kryee. The Js going to be playing for contracts. Hayward could be 90% or even better than his all star year. Sure they could use a power forward but they have chips to trade.

Kawhi was cooked done put a fork in it fourth quarter that last game. That undrafted guy stepped up stepped up and won them the game and really the whole thing. They knocked out his tooth gave him stitches and bruises but they could not stop that man. So who is 76ers
Fredderick Edmund VanVleet Sr? Who is their Champion? I do not see that man on their roster.

He’ll likely regret this comment. It’s amazing how these guys that actually play don’t understand it’s always a game of match-ups. Just because the Sixers player Toronto rougher doesn’t mean they’re better than the Bucks. They might be better, but there isn’t anything to back that up beyond we played the Raptors tougher, and blanket statements like that ignore the match-up factor between very close teams.

Strange thing is that Van Vleet was virtually unplayable against the 76ers. Lowry too. 76er defense was too big for them. Even with a less-than-healthy Embiid they almost took the Raps down. This Sixer team may score less, but that defense could be flat out nasty. Even when they go small ball, they're not small. Do they have a guy under 6'6"?

you're right, Embiid/Simmons/Horford throwing all kinds of different looks v Giannis and cutting off his passing lanes sounds like a cakewalk for MIL.

The Celtics won't be stronger going against the Sixers, can't see how you win a series against them without Horford. His versatility on defense was huge for your team defense, especially since he could guard Simmons or Embiid without any help defenders. Kanter is going to be alone on an island with Embiid and there's no rim protection to stop Simmons in the paint.

If they're walking to the finals, they're giving him a piggy back ride.

Role players need to shut the hell up with the proclamations.
