Griffin cant be hired unless the raptors let him out of his contract or he gets a promotion to a head coaching gig. No more HC jobs available so i doubt we lose him

Looks like Phil Handy lied his way out to LA as well... damn.

LeBron is always trying to find ways to screw the Raptors until he retires, and then he will tell his son Bronny to make it go into his career as well.

Phil Handy’s impact with the Lakers will be less than when he was with us since we had more young guys he helped developing. The players on the Lakers are older and fully developed and most likely are who they are already are in the NBA.

The Raptors Website didnt have Phil Handy and Sergio Scariolo listed for a reason.. I guess both Coaches Contracts are done and are FAs.

Handy’s infamous game #3 vs Philly white board quote “Let it Rip” will always be in Raptor’s lore.
We’ll miss you Phil.

If Kawhi and Uncle Dennis doesent want to go to Alex in TO, tell Ballmer and the Clippers to make Alex go to him in LA. :noway:

This sucks. He's one of the best, if not the best, player development coaches in the league. He's getting a promotion to the front row, so it's not a lateral move. I wonder who we replace him with.

I was content with Kawhi leaving since I thought Phil Handy was still here to develop our guys esp OG, Pascal and Stanley Johnson and help them with their ball handling skills which Phil is notorious for... this is a big loss.

assistant coaches move around all the time irreragdless of contract, teams dont usually block them as long its a promotion, and seems here handy is getting a front bench role.
see us getting adrian griffin last year.

Return to Toronto Raptors
