538 projects 76ers as most likely NBA Champ
76ers team projection, as currently constructed, has the 76ers as the highest point differential and most likely NBA Champ.

Meanwhile, some guys that are smarter than Elton Brand, have ditched their League Pass for his failure to take Carsen Edwards in the 2nd round... LOL

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I’m sure this is primarily accounted for by the addition of Horford.

Horford is the most positive addition, but Richardson and O'Quinn are also positive. Thybulle and Neto are also pretty close to neutral.

They were the best prediction by far. They had 70% Hillary / 30% Trump on the day of the election whereas everyone else had Hillary at 90%+.

Well they have the Sixers as like a 30% chance of winning so that bodes well!

I think their model is pretty useful. Like any model, it’s been wrong before but still seems better than the others.
Us getting to and winning the finals will come down to how our young stars handle the moment and what our matchup is. I.e. we have a much better shot against a team like Houston compared to the Clippers IMO.

2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:
Lowry/Melton/Payne
Maxey/Hield/Downtin
Oubre/Batum/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

Wait. Who did we add? Did Jr smith sign with us?
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Actually, I like our chances against everybody other than the Clippers. George and Kawhi both seam to be our Kryptonite the last couple of years.

I thought the Pacers projection looked out of line. Then I looked at their roster without Oladipo. On paper, they really don't look scary at all. Their roster doesn't really look much better than the Magic's once you remove Oladipo, honestly.

I really like the Pacers. I think they could be Denver of the East.
Oladipo
Sabonis
Brogdon
Turner
Lamb
Warren
They have 6 bonafide starting calibur players.
If one of Sumner, Holiday or Leaf emerge, they're even deeper.
Lock for a Top 4 finish, IMO.

The Pacers weren't very good after Oladipo went down. They lost Bogdanovic, Young, Collison, Joseph, Evans, Matthews and O'Quinn. While I like Brogdon a lot, and like they're off-season in general with them getting younger, I think they got worse. They'll be decent if Oladipo comes back strong, and will struggle to make the playoffs if he doesn't.

Oladipo went down in the first half of the season and they still won 48 games. They might not have been playoff dangerous afterwards, but they were defying everyone that expected them to fall off up until the very end.
Let's be real, the only actual losses on that list of players is Bogdanovic, Young, and Collison. Joseph sucked for them, Evans was a nightmare mistake signing, Matthews was a buyout addition that never clicked, and O'Quinn was their 3rd C that they didn't even play.
Brogdon, Warren, Lamb > Bogdonovic, Young, Collison
I think they definitely got better with the trio they brought in, as opposed to what went out.

Zhaire is by far the most confusing to me, no mins and ranked too low IMO. Thybulle getting 17 mins a game while Zhaire gets 7, don't see how that can happen.
As of right now, if Ben, Jojo, and Josh are off the court (I know thats alot, but will happen with rest and stuff)....Zhaire is going to have to be out there.

I think it’s just hard for a model to project a guy like Zhaire that has barely played because of unique reasons.

They stayed afloat at first due to a cake schedule before falling off a cliff the last couple of months and getting swept by the Celtics.
I think they improved at PG going from Collison/Joseph to Brogdon/Holiday, but Warren/Lamb is a clear step down from Bogdanovic/Young.
