Kemba and this upcoming season have to be the most exciting to me since 07/08. Seeing the way the whole league has changed, how much better we're going to be in the rebounding department, and how our rooks will pan out.

But most of all, I want to see Kemba bring his passion to play for us.

I was super amped for the 2017-18 season. I think most of us were. That excitement lasted all of 5 minutes.

We'll definitely eclipse that this year.

#8 is the safest jersey to buy for a Celtics fan. Kemba is here for 4 years, and even if and when he moves on, the jersey can still represent 'Toine.

Totally stolen from one of Bleeding Green's posts on another thread.

So apparently Kemba Walker led the league in # of scoring possessions as a PnR ballhandler last season. Went ahead and checked available efficiency data from previous years:
◾2018-19: 1st in possessions, 90.9 percentile in efficiency
◾2017-18: 3rd in possessions, 92.0 percentile in efficiency
◾2016-17: 1st in possessions, 86.1 percentile in efficiency
◾2015-16: 4th in possessions, 80.7 percentile in efficiency

Apart from Lillard and Conley, Kemba is the only player to rank in the 80th percentile or higher on at least 7 PnR possessions/game in each of the last four seasons.

Set decent screens for this man!

Side-note: Hayward wasn't too shabby in his last year in Utah (87.1 percentile on 5.7 possessions/game).

One thing I like about Kemba is that he’s improved. These numbers and his shooting. Improvement is good. Hope it continues!

Who do we think is the best screener we have? I feel like it's an average group, but not sure on any of the new guys. Williams/Theis you can see thinking as they do them, but they're OK-ish.

Kanter? Hopefully the French connection?
Regardless — and I know practice isn’t cool these days — I hope they drill a bazillion reps from August through June.

Are there any stats available on quality of screens, could rate on screens, etc? (I know screen assists exists now but don’t have access to it afaik)

I enjoyed that interview because Kemba revealed that he didn't really know much about the city of Boston. That means he agreed to come to the Celtics strictly for basketball reasons. I look forward to his press conference tomorrow, and I sure hope that no one asks him about that other dude from last year.

Yeah, I hope Kanter/Poirier can can be above average at least. I actually just assume Grant will be perfect at it. But, I have no ideas on any such stats, all I gots is me eyeballs and the geekier folk on this forum. :)

He already signed.

Then why hasn't he been introduced yet?

Any links to the press conference? Can't find anything on YouTube or Celtics.com (at least for now)...

He came in early to get in a workout before his press conference. Love that.
