This move actually makes since. Hopefully he comes to camp with some extra muscle and a renewed confidence in his shot..

Thank goodness. I cannot remember the last Furkan-less season.

He is technically tied with Ben for being the 2nd longest tenured Sixer.

I miss Furkan Aldemir still.

Always having a furkan on your roster is a key tenet to the process. Hinkie would’ve mentioned it in his concluding manifesto but there was no need, as it was so obvious to even the most novice observer.

Twenty-one year old Furkan > geriatric Kyle Korver.

Dat dunk in the halfcourt. Korkmaz is a defensive zero, but ridiculously underrated as an on-ball talent.

What makes you say he’s underrated on the ball? I’m rooting for the guy, but it’s one thing to throw it down off the dribble in Europe, and another to do it at the nba level—where he’s had plenty of opportunity, and showed zero ability. He’s not athletic enough to be effective at the point of attack. An improved shot is the only thing that could land him in the rotation.

It could happen. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

Korkmaz has some risky passes that are exciting. He has some play making skills, but his lack of strength and health has been disappointing.

Working with Redick, Bellinelli, and others was priceless. Another year of improvement would be great for him.

Would love to see Korkmaz do anything with relative consistency and be a 10 minute a game guy but I really doubt it.
Who knows maybe he will gain some strength and be a factor.

He looks to be a bit stronger than before. Consistent shot and gaining strength without losing quickness are really the x-factors for him. Excited to see him at the WC

Not impressive for me in his game against Japan.

Offensively, issue for him is he can’t get to the rim or get past his man on the dribble.

Physically, he isn’t strong enough that you can’t start him because its an issue in some match-ups.

Furkan just needs to focus on one skill and becoming a spot shooter only and someone that can play defense... or else he will be out of this league by the end of the season. The other parts of his game can come on later once he has become a 10 min a game guy and solidified a role.

I think he needs to hit spot ups and attack closeouts properly, both are doable given his skill set and we've seen guys make careers with that. I'm not optimistic about his defense, but at least he can definitely get much better (given how miserable he was last year).

He definitely needed strength and experience. Not sure if he can play SF, but he has the length to be a combo guard.

He has some play making skills and tries some entertaining passes. It should be interesting which guards and wings become successful among Furkan, Zhaire, Thybulle, and some others. Defense should be a major factor.

Ok. Bounced back game for Furkan. Almost beat the Celtics.
