I love how Brand is targeting players that are sort of outcast or haven't found a steady home in the league (Burke, Scott, Ennis, Tobias). I'm hopeful that they can find a home here as all of them have an opportunity to contribute this season and beyond.

Well well well...it turns out that this summer we added more "above average 3-points shooters" than those we had last year

Above league average 3pt% (.355) on 100 attempts:

.401 : Mike Scott
.397 : Tobias Harris
.360 : Al Horford
.357 : Josh Richardson

Three others were really close to making the threshold.

.354 : Jonah Bolden (only 96 attempts)
.353 : James Ennis
.352 : Trey Burke

Poor James Ennis. Probably 7-8 more makes this past year gets him equal to Mike Scott and he then likely makes 2 or 3 times his minimum salary.

He did say that he took a paycut to stay and higher offers elsewhere

I know it has been discussed before but has anyone changed their mind about Melo? I saw his interview and I honestly would give him a shot. Worst case you cut him.

If there was a spot for him, I'd be OK. But the 76ers. But the 76ers arent going to that. They now have 14 guaranteed contracts and 1 (Trey Burke) partially guaranteed. With the team only having about 5 million in space before the luxury tax, I doubt they cut any guaranteed salary. They likely only make changes to the roster with trades, until the deadline.

He’s still going on Espn complaining about the rockets months after they cut him. Controversy and distractions seem to follow this guy wherever he goes, I’ll pass.

Melo hasn't changed at all. It's basically like Terrell Owens. Once his perf stopped being good enough to deal with all his bull#### the league was done with him and suddenly he tried to talk like he was a changed man.

Ball-dominant volume scorer without great efficiency who, at his very best, was still able to carry a team only so far. Now he's considerably past his best. What's the hope-- that he somehow transforms the second unit and gives the team a deadly scorer when its starters are resting? If he could do that he'd probably be starting somewhere. And maybe he will be. My guess would be in China.

Probably just entertaining as a training camp body. Whos getting waived for the corpse of ISO Joe?

ISO Joe is the same age as Kyle Korver.

Prime Joe would be a killer fit on this team. He was fun to watch.

Offseason drags forever. They really should move the draft until after free agency. Start free agency when they do now, have the draft in late July, summer league in August.
