Re: Official Mitchell Robinson Thread
Julius [Randle] and Mitchell will probably be starting power forward and center, but we have a lot of weapons coming off the bench that will be fun to watch,” Portis said. “I go out and play with a ton of passion and play the right way. In the amount of minutes, 20 to 26, I can affect the game in a lot of positive ways.”
I think we’ll be a top-ranked [bench] after the Clippers with Lou [Williams] and Montrell Hazell — that’s pretty strong. With our bench we have really good weapons in me, Marcus [Morris], Taj [Gibson], Allonzo Trier, Wayne Ellington. The list goes on.
Mentions Morris as off the bench. It’s pretty much have a good start for Knox and co or there is bench guys right there to take your spot. I love that there is no confusion.

GTFOH. You make those deals every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
Tough call. Jokic maybe not ideal in playoffs and Embiid if he was healthy I do it. He’s not really.

Jokic was incredible in the playoffs. He was the only one that showed up.

Wow I’m pretty surprised by that. Knox better ball the F out.

I didn’t watch that closely but seemed to be a little less than regular season Jokic.

So much for all of our experts here who think Mitch should come off the bench and play limited minutes.

You didn't watch. And you are wrong. Yet again.
Go and watch. And/or look at the stats.

We might not win too many games but there will be some entertaining wins and wild games at the Garden next season.

Yet again? I am right about so very much.
I see now that Jokic’s numbers were great and I am a big fan of his. But his D is poor to moderately poor. Would I trade Mitch for him? I guess I’d have to with some strong misgivings.

Not according to Bobby Portis. Read his quote above. He says Morris is coming off the bench.

There's very few people who want Frank to start anymore. Are we talking about a year ago or something? I'd say IF there were any "people" left who wanted Frank to start, and I bet you could count them on one hand in this forum right now, they'd be fans of defense and would want Mitch to start as well.
Ok. I'll concede there might be a French nationalist lurking who wants Frank to start and isn't impressed with Mitch intellectually, so he wants him on the bench. There. You were right for 1 person.

Agreed. That article in question is based on Portis assuming for Morris... but he (Portis) was flat out told Money Mitch was starting

Not surprising, but good to hear confirmation that Mitch is starting. He should get as many minutes as he can chew.
