TORONTO -- While Toronto's Maple Leafs and Raptors gear up for next season, Scotiabank Arena is getting a multimillion-dollar face-lift.

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment president and CEO Michael Friisdahl calls it a "reimagination" of the venue that opened in February 1999.

"We've got to keep getting better, we've got to keep improving the experience," Friisdahl said. "We won a championship -- we've won four championships in the last three years. That, if anything, motivates us to do even

Something is going to be more expensive, either food price or ticket price or may be both. Remember I went to ACC watch the first NBA game 2007, its $30, food is cheaper, it's hard to imaging how kid can afford to watch the game nowadays

hmm theater instead of area lighting, that is to say, a dark arena with a brightly lit court?

Make it look like how it did during the allstar game. Dim the crowd.

I was thinking about this the other day. Teams nowadays change arenas quickly. Same with stadiums. But in Toronto and New York, and other big cities, they really cannot as there is nowhere else to build that makes sense. They will have to do continuous renovations and facelifts forever.

I think people should only be allowed to order food on the app in the lower bowl. no more wandering off at half time.

Agreed. i really hope they dont go the Theater Lighting route.

Seeing the Sea of Red in the playoffs, under a bright arena looked very Intimidating
