This is what happens when you draft injured dudes. I know we drafted Damian Jones with the pectoral muscle injury but it will be 100% recovered and isn't an issue once healed.

It's a tough gamble for a #30 draft pick. Fortunately, Jones' is a well-understood and muscle/soft-tissue issue that has a known path to recovery, while Looney's case is at a major and complex joint with more unknowns.

It makes me think of Ben Simmons' fifth metatarsal fracture and how, even for a relatively common orthopedic issue, where many NBA players have endured the injury and yet it's still largely unknown what the proper surgery/rehab/return regimen involves. For the hip and FAI, it's probably a even smaller data set when it comes to NBA players.

Heading into 2020 Season...

Kevon Looney breakout year? 23 years old. High efficiency, low usage. Huge hole(s) to fill on the team. Someone's gotta take those FGA, why not Looney? He may DOUBLE his production from last year.

6.3 pts, 3.9 rebs, 1.5 asts, 0.6 stls, 0.7 blks
4.3 FGA, .627 eFG, 12.8 usage, 6.0 win-share
18.5 minutes, 24 starts

Not sure about numbers, but i expect his game to have expanded some. I expect more confidence in his outside shot... and more aggressive offensively.

What's the Search feature for?
Should I have started a brand new "Expectations for Kevon Looney" Thread?

Anyway, what do you expect from Looney for 2020? MIP candidate too much?

Just seems strange to bring up old threads to talk about how people were wrong in the past.

Please please let him take some open threes! I think he has as much right to shoot that shot as Draymond.

Kerr has already said that he wants to see Looney extend his range out to include corner 3’s. So yes, Kerr has heard you. It will be up to Looney to covert them or else those opportunities will disappear.

Could Looney approach a double double this season? I think he comes close.

Yeah, if he's playing 25mpg + i can see him averaging close to a double/double. I'll go with 11 and 8 with a block per game.

I think the only person keeping him from shooting was Loon.

I don't know, that is half the fun sometimes. :D
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.
