There was a time when Lillard and Irving were about equal in most people's eyes, what happened to that?

What is the point of having KD as an option? If he were to play even not at 100% he'd easily be top 10 in this list.

I disagree. I don’t even expect him to be a Top 10 player next year when he comes back. Give me a healthy Butler, Lillard, Towns, etc., over a 32 year old trying to adjust to a bad leg. Look at how much Cousins fell off. This year, even if I knew 100% that KD was coming back in March, he still wouldn’t crack my top 30.

Lillard led CJ McCollum and a bunch of scrubs to the conference finals while Kyrie exploded a team that made it to the conference finals without him by starting petty little bitchfights with all the young players he was supposed to be mentoring. Also, Lillard’s already been much better than Kyrie for years. People are just seeing that more and more now that Kyrie doesn’t have LeBron to lean on.

Nominating Chris Paul. I’m gonna need someone to vote for once Draymond is gone and it doesn’t seem like Siakam’s making the ballot for a while.

2019 playoffs. Lillard was like 15 or 16 last year after getting swept terribly and now hes 10 on this list after an unlikely blazers team made the WCF. Postseason has a big impact on peoples choices.

I want to keep voting for Blake but it was honestly close for me between him and Dray and I prefer Dray to Kyrie.

Portland's roster is really pretty underrated, starting with CJ. CJ is really one of the more solid-non-all-star players in the league, and I think if he were in the Eastern Conference he'd have been an all-star by this year. His TS% isn't the best, but he's one of the best ballhandlers in the league, one of the best shooters in the league and can breakdown pretty much any defender and make any type of jumper. He averaged 25/4/5 on 44/39 splits and kept his turnover rate pretty low. It's hard to make playing with him appear as someone carrying anyone when he was really more like a very solid 1b option to Dame's 1A. CJ is probably at minimum a top 30 player at this point, and I'd venture to say closer to top 25 because of what he's been bringing to the plate in the playoffs over the years.

That said, I've begrudgingly admitted that Dame's better than Uncle Drew. He's not better at any individual skill, but he drives to the rim more and takes more threes which gives him moe scoring consistency than Kyrie. Dame legitimately plays like a top 5 offensive player every year for a couple months at a time. He goes on 20-game stretches averaging like 34/7/5 on 63 TS% and winning a lot of games. Kyrie never reaches that same level, it's more like 20-games of 26/7/5 on 65 TS%. Just not as incendiary, and we've been seeing that as time goes by.
