Or this could become the new home of the Russian Ron Baker fan club.

I'm pretty sure they showed him these and said something like, "Pretty Russian girls you want them more than Rubles? Da? Sign here!"

No other reason for the 1970's all-American boy to play in Moscow.

Came into this thread thinking the same thing because discussion around the board has waned.
It’s the off-season, rosters are set and most things have discussed throughly, but still.

As far as my boy knox2, the underlying hope is that preparing for the draft is different than preparing for an incumbent season.

Not usually one for excuses but when Knox comes in with a non advertised 3 point shot, I gather he worked on this last offseason to promote his draft stock.
In this case it worked because it was a pick that NO ONE saw coming.

It’s very rare for a player to come into the league with his weakness being his strength and his strength being his weakness. These two being finishing and shooting.

Iirc he even mentioned this somewhat in a past interview. The good thing to see is that he has the right attitude.

He seems to have the physical ability, so attitude should count for a lot.

Duncd On Podcast was reviewing summer league teams. 34 min mark for Knicks.

http://nateduncannba.com/podcast-episodes/2019-summer-league-prospects-part-2/

Pretty much crapped on RJ's shootiing, but gave high marks for the passing.

Think Knox could be a solid rotation guy as he showed signs of life on defense and even some playmaking

Mitch is incredible

Iggy looks like a nice pick for where we got him

Where Knicks’ RJ Barrett stands in continued development.

In his Las Vegas Summer League finale in mid-July, Barrett posted 21 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds and had double-doubles in each of his previous two games. Still he finished with a shooting percentage of .338 in the five games and shot just 24 percent from beyond the 3-point arc. But the No. 3-overall pick said he has been working on other shortcomings that showed up in Vegas.

“I missed way too many layups [in summer league],” Barrett told reporters in Teaneck.

However, he said he liked how he finished the tournament.

“I felt like that really got my mojo going,’’ Barrett said Sunday. “So just trying to bring that into training camp is going to be good.”
