Still not newsworthy IMO. Lots of players go to China and make good money, why not have a story about all of them?

I would say its moreso because he was the G-League Rookie of the Year. Which means he had some sort of NBA promise and chose to head out to China so early in his career. He also probably saw the writing on the wall that he wasn't going to make this new championship front-runner Clippers squad. Seems like a smart move on his part. Get your money mane!

He's going to be sad when he realizes there's no Pica Pollos in China.

I get it, and I agree. Still he was a GL rookie, (of the year) like everybody knew him. Still IMO...Not newsworthy.
But he may regret not trying to make it in the NBA.

I'm from the West Coast because I referenced Dominican culture?

Does. Not. Compute.

In the DR "Pics Pollos" are all over the place. They serve fried chicken and fried plantains. Not sweet plantains, but green ones that have been sliced, fried, smashed, and the fried again. They're kind of like french fries and they eat them with ketchup.

Many of these restaurants are run by a Chinese immigrant. In the DR "Chinos" and "Pics Pollos" are synonymous.
