Kelly Olynyk will sit out the FIBA World Cup due to a knee injury suffered in an exhibition game last week.

X-rays on Olynyk's knee came back negative.

Olynyk is expected to be ready in time for the regular season.

We'll miss him, I have so much respect for Olynyk because he plays for us every year, out of the dozen or so Canadian players he's pretty much the only one that will always suit up for his country. It's disappointing that our other countrymen won't play for their country.
