Only saw the last 30 minutes of the Spurs game but they looked fantastic.

Chose the wrong 3pm kickoff to watch - Palce Everton - yawn.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Man, it's amazing how cheaply Pogba gives the ball away, and then he gets two lovely assists. Enigma that guy

Well rough start to the season for me as a Villa and Chelsea fan. Both sides showed some positives though in their first halves.

I was a villa fan growing up (but didn't watch much and usually only got to watch teams i didn't follow) when they were relegated and i got back into the sport it was tough to watch the championship where I live so i followed chelsea because my friends did. So now i'm torn between the two.

Really hope that Villa get relegated.

First game I watched I heard them referred to as the biggest club in the midlands.

Grealish - what a wanker.

Chelsea I hope they do well apart from when they play us - so I'm sort of hoping that they are bottom of the league after game 2.

depends on what you base "biggest" on but by a lot of metrics they are the biggest so it's not really controversial....

I base it on number's of PL titles won in the last 10 years. (not really)

I understand the basis of "biggest club". I laugh at the fact newly promoted (and only just scraped in ahead of Derby) Villa fans shouting about how they are the biggest club in the midlands. You are massive and I hope I can remind you just how big a gap in the championship awaits you after blowing the largest amount of transfer money in the UK at the end of the season.

You clearly are a massive club since grealish's ego is so big you wouldn't be able to fit him in otherwise.

It was the commentators who said it, I haven't heard villa fans shouting about it.

It says more about how insecure other fans are if it bothers them so much that a commentator said something that can be strongly argued as true. They are a large club, lots of fans, right now they are backed by one of the richest ownership groups in the league as well. No one was saying they are the most successful right now and every Villa fan site/pod i follow acknowledges how big of a leap it is and how it's not guaranteed we'll stay up.

The cash needed to be spent as well, they'd have gone into the season with a squad of like 8 players if they didn't. Lot's of loanees needed to be bought or replaced and lots of players were past their prime or not going to cut it and were expiring, all the players bought in have links to Smith, existing players or other incoming players and all were done ahead of the deadline and looked well thought out as well.

Grealish doesn't have a big ego either, any time you hear the guy talk he is one of the most humble players and is a true local boy. Is it just his haircut you don't like?

You seem to be looking for fire where there is no smoke.

Not looking forward to City away.

At least it's good to get it out of the way early.
