Brett knew how to use Hawes. His top of the key 3 was money.

Iso Joe got more lift than RJ Barett

He'd need to play at his hair gel and bandana best to justify clearing roster space.

I'd rather pursue Noah.

Johnson would be a great vet to add. He's still got game.

I think these are mostly agent favors and the Sixers aren’t very likely to sign any of them beyond maybe like a training camp deal like Brand got that one year.

I don't understand why someone hasn't signed Noah already. Don't know that he'd be right for the Sixers, though, as he can't shoot. But with the right attitude (which he claims he'll have), he could be a decent addition for some team.

Who do you think you get more from next season; Joe Johnson or Furkan Korkmaz?

Joe Johnson at 38 brings more to the table than Furkan a Korkmaz ever will.

This team needs some more good karma, veteran former all star ring chasers.

Every championship team has them.

So what do yall think about the reports that Melo's folks have spoken to the Sixers about coming here? Tbh I'd be Ok with it as I think he's gonna be dying to prove a point to the league and the more scorers we have on our bench, the better.

Doubt there’s much to it, mostly just his agent getting his name out there.

Like I said above, I imagine we will hand out some training camp invites to some vets the way we’ve done in the past with Brand, EOkafor, Kris Humphries and so on where it’s understood they’re probably not making the team. I’m not sure if Melo would be very interested in that/not sure if the Sixers want to deal with their training camp cuts being a topic on Sportscenter.

The fact is the Sixers have 14 fully guaranteed and one partial guaranteed contract already. I doubt they want to cut any of those guys to sign someone they could have signed months ago. Like if they picked Trey Burke over Joe Johnson, Melo etc. in July, why change your opinion on that now that you wrote Burke a $400k check already? Same thing with Korkmaz.

I'd love to bring in Spencer Hawes and Joe Johnson as camp bodies.

Joe Johnson would be a great guy for our ball handlers to learn from. Especially Tobias.

Spender Hawes would be great for Embiid to get reps defending a stretch big. Good preparation for a playoff series against the Bucks or Magic.

Ben and Biid seems like players who compliments empty scorers like melo or.. tobias?

I have no problem bringing in Melo to be the bench version of Tobias. If it doesnt go well you cut bait. I dont see the downside. If the players sign off on it obviously.

Feels like Melo can work if Biid plays at C.

Bringing something up from 2017 means nothing. The Melo of today isnt the Melo from 2017. I'm sure hes hated being out of the league the past year. He knows what he has to do to play again.

I'm going to guess he didn't sit out last year because he wasn't good enough. I'd imagine it was because no team committed to starting him.

The rockets did that and he went on ESPN and trashed them. You get in the Melo business you have to deal with PTI having topics about whether you are treating him fairly. Not worth the distraction.

Scott is already the backup 4 and I'd rather give Zhaire and Thybulle opportunities on the wing personally.

Lol Melo's only role in the league is that of the tank commander. He cant create efficiently, he is not a shooter and he doesnt play defense. No team that tries to win has a need for such a player even less the Sixers who will have always at least two of Harris, Embiid, Simmons and Horford on the floor.
