Things like body control aren't considered much when you talk about athleticism, and without a feel for the game a spectacular athlete can look very average.

Bruno's athleticism is pretty mediocre... definitely not a comparison to Giannis in that area. The biggest difference though is basketball IQ.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

This looks like someone was playing with the arm slider in a video game.

Thank **** he's no good. Imagine what he could do drawing fouls if had had that Harden/Durant arm fishing move with those arms.

Hard to believe someone with that physical profile could be so bad at basketball. At the very least, just feed him tuna and mashed potatoes everyday for a year and tell him to stand under the rim and be a rim-protecting 5. That 7'7 wingspan is wasted on the perimeter.

Athletically they have differences mainly in strength, balance and flexibility. That spin move that Giannis does at full speed is something that even some 6'5" guards have problems doing. That's balance. His flexibility (mainly hips) allows him to acccelerate and change directions from all sorts of strange positions. And his strength is very underrated, he regularly boxes out and holds his ground against C's.
In skill terms what mainly separates Giannis is his court vision and dribble. His dribble is very secure because he has that Magic Johnson kind of way of putting his massive body between the ball and the oppoinent. Which then allows him to keep his eyes up and towards his teammates (often behind him) at all times and see all those wraparound and cross court assist opportunities. And if someone tries to strip him he gets that 7 footer push off and just stops doing it.
In other words Giannis plays like a true guard. Bruno plays like a 7 footer who is somewhat faster than normal on a stright line.
