Bulls arriving early for summer workouts

Post#1 » by wonderboy2 » Wed Sep 4, 2019 10:14 pm

Didn’t know where to post this and it’s slow right now so I figured I make a new thread. Chicago Bulls website posted pictures of the bulls training and scrimmaging today. Looks like most of the team is already there. I saw Dunn,White, Lavine, Porter, Markannan, Carter, Young, Kornet, Gafford, Moka. That’s basically the whole team besides Sato and Felicio who’s playing for the World Cup. They posted pictures of Hutchison, Valentine, Blankley, and Archi there last week. It’s good seeing the guys come in early to train with eachother and develop chemistry with eachother. Sorry but I don’t know how to post pictures.

Early? It's September. They should have being in June in facilities. That's early. It's usual month before training camp arrivals.

It's September, also known as the best month to live in Chicago.

On a side note, I'd love to know what Kornet was saying to WCJ.

Maybe something like, "You should know, I came here to be the starting center".

Good to see them all together.

I believe the younger players were there much earlier practicsing and working out at the Bull facilities. However, it's usually the veterans who joins later on.

There are two players I'm keying on more than anyone else this season, and that's Lauri and WCJ. I'm expecting big seasons from the both of them, or at least that's the hope.
Why so serious?

Those "dickies" look like something they pulled out of the 7th grade PE closet.

Also, the boosts zach has on are sick. might have to get me a pair like that.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Any news on the status of the Bulls contract situation.

It's my understanding that they have 16 players under contract.

So, someone will either be traded of waived.

If no trade can be made, who is the most likely to be waived?

Most people assume Blakeney, but they don't have to waive someone for quite awhile. I would say Shaq Harrison is right up there as his deal is likely not guaranteed and if they are keeping Dunn for at least half the season there's not a lot of reason to have Harrison.

I think it will come down to Blakeney's shooting / improvements over the off-season vs Harrison's defense / improvements over the off-season as well as the improvements and mood of Kris Dunn.

If Dunn actually comes in strong and motivated then there is very little need for Harrison, but if Dunn is cranky over White/Arci and feels like an outsider and folds then Harrison is a nice stop gap. Theoretically, there's nothing Harrison can do that Dunn probably can't do equally well while also doing other things better.

I'm not a big Shaq fan, but he knows to stay in his lane. That's what we need from the 6th-7th options on this team. Including Dunn.

Dunn is the lone distraction on a roster that's otherwise surprisingly promising. Get rid of him.

To me, just being rid of Blakeney would be a huge boost. That guy is a walking LOSS. May be the most negatively impactful player in the NBA.

What's our 2-way contract status?

Who cares if Blakeney sits at the end of the bench for a season. He knows he's lucky just to be collecting an NBA paycheck. Dunn, though, will get cranky if he drops out of the rotation and will cause problems behind the scenes.

Cut the cord!
