Think we’ll miss Tatum for this one. Expecting a US win by around 10.

Not for me. It would be like rooting against the USA at the Olympics. Can't root against my country!

The game's actually in Shenzhen, not Shanghai. Both squads had to fly in from the Northeast without much time to get acclimated. Different gym, different language, different vibe. Be interesting to see how they adjust. If the US win their group they fly BACK to Shanghai for one game then again to Beijing if they advance.

Is there anyway both teams could lose? That’s what I’m rooting for.

Anyone of interest from the Dominican Republic to keep an eye on?

Haven't caught enough of them to single anyone out but I’m interested to see how they stack up with you guys and Lithuania. I will predict a lot of trash talk & chippiness between the Boomers and D.R. based on what I remember of them from years past, the NYC Dominicans I worked with and the personalties on your team . Shame Charlie Villanueva is no longer in the mix...

I'm rooting for not being an idiot and waking up at 7:30 on a weekend to watch a meaningless basketball game.

Since the mods closed all the other threads: Czechs play as if their distilleries' future depend on the outcome of the game :D

Ok, if we lose today we need to win by 12+ tomorrow in order to advance, that's less than ideal lol

Big win for Czechs over Brazil makes this interesting. If we assume USA beats both Greece and Brazil then Greece needs to beat Czech Republic by over 12 points in order to advance. In any other case USA and Czech R advance.

Edit:So for Greece to advance they need either 2 wins over USA and Czechs or a win over Czech Republic by 12+ points.Seems to me the first scenario is easier :-?

We need to play small ball for all Giannis minutes.

Noone can guard Giannis as a Center. And Brook, Myles like to shot more than attacking the rim.

Jaylen Brown has strength but Giannis is too long for him too.

It is sad for Giannis that the rest of the team is pretty much less talented than 2006 Greek NT Subs.

We have to make most of our shots in order to compete and win.

Our HC is a **** idiot, no reason to have Bourousis or Papagiannias in there with Barnes, JAylen and Midds. Put Thanasis & Print with Giannis at C or gtfo

I wish Giannis demands from Greek Basketball Association to hire a competent coach for the next Tournament.

We are just losing medals for the last 8 years cause of bad coaching.

You know how important coaching schemes are. We just witnessed the difference from Kidd's Bucks to Bud's Bucks.

Believe it or not, some grown ups are up at 7:30 on a Saturday morning anyway.
