In case you can’t read...Nobody said they were going to win the championship this year.
I hate to disturb a good rant, but you do realize that this thread is talking specifically about the current season? Nobody is making predictions for 2020-21 quite yet.
So with that in mind, I have no idea what point you were trying to make with your original post about the Nets having 2 stars?

We were talking about whether the Nets have depth. The quote I mentioned specifically talked about the depth.
Under the quote I emphasized the part where Zach Lowe states “the Nets have real depth.”
The underlining of 2 stars part was done by the person responding.
At the end of the day the Raptors have the worst wing combo among all the playoff contenders:
SG: Norman Powell / Patrick McCaw
SF: OG Anunoby / Stanley Johnson
Add to that an aging PG (Kyle Lowry 34) and an aging C (Marc Gasol 35) and I’m not sure why we have to be so sigh on them.

You still wrote the part about the 2 stars, moving the goalposts now doesn’t undo that.
And Lowe talked about the Nets having depth around 2 stars, at least recognize that if one of those stars doesn’t play this season that means they have less depth as somebody has to play Durant’s minutes. Since that was written, Chandler is now suspended now and Kurocs likely to follow suit, that doesn’t look good, so the Nets will lose another key depth piece there.
Aside from Center and PG, I don’t see much depth in Brooklyn. Far less than last season

user name checks out.
who did we lose and who did we gain? you sound stupid.
Chandler was never going to be a heavy minutes rotational player, anyone even remotely familiar with the Nets' situation knows that he's here only to be a veteran presence. Kurucs' situation is still in the air but unless he gets cut or suspended he's not going to miss significant time. Most likely, Kurucs and Prince will be in the rotation. Both of them are keeping the seat warm for Durant.
but yeah, lets see how this goes down. you Raptor fans swore on god last season that Pascal Siakam is a legit number 1, we'll see how this works out and we'll see how much depth the Nets actually have with multiple guards that can score, three point shooters, and rim running bigs.

Lol anytime someone talks about Wilson Chandler as if he was going to play significant minutes over LeVert, Prince, Harris, Kurucs.

You’re the one trying to prove the Nets are deep, then you write down 4 names and 3 of them will be starters this coming season.
You do understand that starters aren’t considered depth right?

“There’s a reason we hear so much about the Nets eventually landing a player like Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler. Aside from the fact that they’re one of few big-market teams that seemingly has a direction, a blank-enough canvas (in terms of not having a star) and cap space to make something happen, they also would become an instant contender by adding someone of that caliber.”
This is before we added Kyrie, DAJ, and Taurean Prince (long athletic 39% 3 point shooter).

The Nets swapped out D'Angelo Russell and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Yet somehow these geniuses on RealGm look at that as a step backwards.
