Mike Trout underwent a minor procedure on his right foot on Monday to alleviate pain stemming from a nerve issue that has been bothering him for roughly a month.
The Los Angeles Angels center fielder was diagnosed with a neuroma in his right foot and underwent a cryoablation procedure that essentially deadens tissue in the area.
\"I\'m not in the medical field, but it’s a buildup of tissue around the nerve that causes pain,\" Brad Ausmus said. \"Today, he had a cryoablation that deadens the tissue, deadens the nerve area. So, he’ll miss a couple days, but we don’t expect him to miss more than a couple days. But that’s why he’s not in the lineup.\"
