Argentina is playing better and better in this tournament... they are playing unconsciously, to me they are the favorites now for Sunday's gold medal game, but hell, you can not rule out Spain's heart either, hopefully it will be a great an entertaining battle...

Cheeers! ;-)

It means that Argentina will win in the finals by the way :D

Argentina was never the underdog to me. Gobert is great, but mainly against athletic drivers. That was never Argentina's game

Do you know what were the betting odds before the game? I mean, I guess France were the favourites, no?

They were favorites to win it all. Argentina had the worst odds(9) from the remaining 4 teams.

I wish I had put my money on Argentina before start of tournament(@101 IIRC) rather than Spain @19.

Teached by Scola. Congratulations to Argentina, they really deserved this win and were smart.

For France, what a mental collapse ... Like they wanted to play so much Australia again...

I said it before and I'll say it again. Anyone can have a good day and a bad day, that's why this tournament is great.

It pisses me off how we lost to this Argentinian team after catching them in the 4th and even taking the lead only to continue making stupid mistakes
arrrrgh

really bad job by Djordjevic and Bjelica, the two most responsible people for what happened

Kyle Hines would have better tournament then Turner, Lopez and Plumlee combined.

On SG put Jaycee Carroll.

Also don't forget Brandon Davies, Cory Higgins and Brad Wanamaker maybe even Nigel Williams Goss.

C : Kyle Hines / Bryan Dunston
PF : Derrick Williams / Chris SIngleton / Brandon Davies
SF : Will Clyburn / Cory Higgins
SG : Jaycee Carroll /Brad Wanamaker
PG : Shane Larkin / Mike James

That's a team just from a Euroleague, and it's a strong one.

You really believe Hines/Dunston can play against best C in the world? B. Davies is playing C in Europe. Jaycee Carroll will be 37 next year. James and Larkin cannot play together in the same team.

I’m not saying that will be bad team, but it for sure won’t be better than this years or a favorite for a gold.

I will add Malcolm Delaney for the guards and Tarik Black and Jordan Mickey for C. Davies can play both positions. If Serbia can play Jokic as PF anything is possible :D

Did you believe 39 years old Scola can play against the best centers in the world (Jokic, Gobert) and dominate them ? :D

The NBA game changed with the rule changes. FIBA is behind the times.

With FIBA rules, then Team USA would like to get someone like DAJ in the pivot. Old guys get to play again.

The FIBA World Cup is the only trophy missing from Manu btw... He's won in every other competition he competed in...

Any chance FIBA can let him play for 30 secs in the final? He's right there behind the bench,it won't be that hard... :P

Argentina left their hearts on the court and it made them go to the final. Great advertisement for what you can achieve when you work together and don't listen to your ego.

It's just different. I like the authenticity of international basketball, and quite frankly, I like their game more these days.

There is a fundamental difference between Scola and Dunston/Hines. They both cannot shoot 3’ from the basket. Meaning Gobert would have eaten them for breakfast. Scola is just proved how shooting dominates over physics in Fiba. 39 years Scola > Giannis in Fiba.;)

lemanis with his crazy anti delly agenda

Australia leads 65-58 with 5:07 minutes to go looking like they are holding spain off, and the fake coach decides this is a nice time to bring in mitch creek for delly

australia then collapse and the score is australia 67-65 with 3:44 to go, this situation should be investigated and then at the end of the investigation lemanis should be fired or else the investigators should get investigated
