Seeing Spain win another WC and Ricky win MVP and FMVP is f***ing amazing. F***ing. Amazing.

Really sad for Argentina, you can't hate a team that plays with this level of passion.

Agreed, Bogdan was the best..at least offensively.

I guess it will go to either Ricky or Marc.

MVP: Ricky (Well deserved, the most consistent player on the tourney on both sides of the court)

1st TEAM: Ricky, Mills, Bogdanovic, Scola, Marc (although only for the last 2 games where he was inmense)

The French should be very angry about this

It was Fournier, not Mills. So 2 from the champ, 1 from each of the medalists and Bogdanovic.

So the Aussies must be very angry about it :D

Argentina never match up well, against Spain.

Spain was certainly the best team. Argentina is the second one.

Well, Mills shouldn't have missed that 2nd free throw. Maybe he would be celebrating now a title and an MVP. But he missed, then today France passed over them. Everything counts.

The semi finals 13 years ago was the hardest game for Spain. Argentina nearly won that game. It's just that Spain had a perfect game plan, Scariolo is a master, the players executed it to perfection, and only the Argentinians passion kept them into the game when they were down 21 in the 3rd quarter. They only gave up at the very end.

One can argue he should have been there instead of Bodanovic (I'm not saying it's true, but it doesn't sound unreasonable)

I like spanish players, they've had many great players, I like spanish basketball system, I like spanish clubs. However, I don't like their national team, never had. Constant flopping (especially Rudy, though others are not far from him), gesticulations to ref's for every contact, biased ref's cause Spain is big in European basketball and many other reasons are stopping me from liking Spanish NT.

There is something surreal about all this and I have to pinch myself. Must confess I didn´t trust this group enough before the tournament, but I am enjoying every bit of crow eating!

So happy for Ricky also, which is a thing on itself, but it must be said everyone played his part beautifully.

Wonderful.

Next year I think we'll see everybody playing for Spain if they are healthy. Pau and Sergio Rodriguez will join in for one last run, and they can all retire together after Olympics.

And the point of saying this on a day the refs allow Argentina to throw everything to Spanish players pretty much all along? Without a hint of a serious complaint from Spanish players? There was one play where Campazzo practically slammed Rubio to the floor on a rebound lol

I mean, come on. You can dislike whomever you want, but come on now. Everybody flops, everybody sells fouls. Insinuating the refs favored Spain today calls for some sight check.
