The desire to do something now would be based on getting it off the radar. "Four more years of Giannis" is a much better way to start a pitch to an unexpectedly available trade target than "steel thyself for the **** storm".

Too much discussion IMO about someone who never showed any indication of wanting to move on from the Bucks. All he ever said (once) is that he's staying as long as everybody in the organisation pulls their weight and they become contenders. And to be fair to the Bucks, they're doing their part.

Can we just enjoy that everything is going well...

LMAO.

Middleton didn't get the max.

I stand corrected. Very Very close to the MAX.

It makes zero difference, the point still stands.

So you consider Giannis discount less than the max significant but not Middleton’s?

Maybe I’m cynical but something seemed off on the Giannis discount. I’m sure the bucks would’ve much rather had him sign for the five year max but he didn’t for some reason

One is a MAX contract player, the other is not. In fact, Giannis is an MVP caliber player. You don't ask an MVP to take a discount (for many reasons).

There were rumors that the Bucks were happy to give Giannis the discounted 4 yr contract, because they were planning to MAX Jabari at the time. (e.g. https://www.sbnation.com/2016/9/19/12657654/giannis-antetokounmpo-contract-extension-bucks-100-million )

Camp opens in 8 days. He'll be in Milwaukee soon if he's not already.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Last I heard he was staking out the Brasil coach and waiting to get revenge on him.

Perhaps we could all agree not to engage on the topic of Giannis staying or leaving until he is eligible for the super max and we are waiting to see if he'll sign it. If we band together on this, outsiders won't be able to provoke any discussion on it from us. It just dies. I think that would make this upcoming season a hell of a lot more enjoyable.

A very well thought out, reasonable and rational post....... That has no place on this forum..... Giannis might leave

Giannis wants to win, he has the best opportunity to do the most winning WHILE making the most possible money in a place that took a chance on him and he is a loyal dude. Check back on this discussion if he turns down the super max

If he turns down the supermax, the discussion will be over.

Giannis wants to win a title. The best opportunity might not be Milwaukee. We should ignore that until it's too late.

Between this and all the Middleton contract hand-wringing, I'm wondering if some of you guys are going to be able to even enjoy watching a basketball game this season.

considering the pressure there is on this team to, AT LEAST, repeat their successes from last season....and build upon it........

i figure this will be the most stressful season any of us has ever watched.
