Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Sep 21, 2019 4:26 pm

The Atlanta Hawks will re-sign Vince Carter for his final season in the league.

The 42-year-old Carter is set to play his 22nd season in the NBA.

Carter, who averaged 7.4 points and 2.6 rebounds last season, is set to become the first player in the league to play in a game in four different decades.

There's something fitting about Vince Carter going out with the Atlanta Hawks.

Why wouldn't they..? He was like one of their most productive players. I know they wanna develop their young guys, but having VC around helps more than it hurts

Never thought a guy whose game relied heavily on extreme athleticism, and also injury-prone in his prime, would last 15 years, let alone 22 years in the league.

Most likely forgot how soft he was as a player.

For real tho.

He turned the corner on the injuries when he played in New Jersey.

He might be the first player to retire and not make it in the Big 3.

He deserves and should get a farewell tour. Vince was part of the class right after Jordan, the league was looking for its next star and for a few years it was Vince. He helped to continue the popularity of the game to thrive and if teams were so willing to give Dirk and Wade such fanfare they should do the same for Vince.
