Giannis Antetokounmpo: 'I Want To Shoot The Three'

Giannis Antetokounmpo discussed his desire to eventually add a three-point shot to his offensive arsenal, though he added that he could win an NBA title without shooting threes.

“I can still win the championship not shooting the three, but I want to shoot the three. I shot the three a little bit better this year, as the season went along I was getting better. Shooting the three is gonna make it a lot easier for my game and a lot easier for my teammates, so I gotta add that element to my game," Antetokounmpo told the Bucks.

Antetokounmpo shot 25.6% on 2.8 attempts from three during the regular season last year. That number increased to 32.7% during the playoffs.

Jon Horst said last week that the Bucks will offer Antetokounmpo a max extension when he becomes eligible next summer. Antetokounmpo is currently signed through 2021.

I never realized Giannis had this kind of arrogance about him. Or maybe he's just being super defensive.

How is that statement arrogant? I think you’re reading way too much into it.

he watched the film and saw it wasn't three pointers that was making the bucks lose last season. It was clearly his lack of scoring from outisee of 8 feet from the basket and his off timed off target passes out of double teams.

from him, it's not so much arrogance as it is confidence. not sure how you came to that conclusion.

giannis is more of a student of the game rather than someone who thinks their **** doesn't stink

if a guy like porzingis said it, someone who has shown no success or ability to lead a team, it'd be unfounded arrogance.
