Masai Ujiri: Raptors Want To Keep Pascal Siakam For Long-Term

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Sep 28, 2019 4:54 pm

Masai Ujiri said that he plans on signing Pascal Siakam to a long-term deal, whether it be this fall when Siakam is eligible for an extension or next summer.

"Whether it's going to be this fall or this summer, he's definitely someone we're going to keep here (long-term)," said Ujiri.

Siakam, who will make $2.35 million next season, is eligible for an extension before October 21st.

Siakam's camp is reportedly looking to sign a max extension worth $170 million over five years, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.

It's not tampering when he's on your team and under contract. And, unlike Giannis, its not clear contract talk. The Bucks said how much money they are going to give him by saying they were going to give him the max. That's basically starting contract talks before they are allowed to talk contract.

That's what the Bucks owner got when he made the comment about extension.

So are you say, Ujiri wanting to keep Siakam for the longer term does not involve an extension?

Do you feel clever for thinking of that?

Should be pretty easy, actually. You just say "thanks, Kawhi" and polish up Larry OB with a smile.

Nothing else to do but that. The guy left the franchise after winning a championship there. He didn't want to be there that bad

"Yes because he completely turned around a disastrous 5-12 team and helped them in every facet of the game. If Melo keeps it up, he is legit MVP candidate."

I feel okay about it. Some superstars have whined and demanded personnel and dragged out the FA process or played the media leak game to the point of leaving a franchise gutted for the future and their image tarnished for how management caved. The Kawhi/Masai process was pretty much drama free and left the team with a competitive group who have some contracts to work with and some pieces to start re-tooling.

Its like every sad troll in the world all of a sudden jumped on the clippers bandwagon all at once.

And yeah, that should cost 50k if it's consistent.

Nba fined the bucks for talking about giving an extension to their own player

Will the raps face the same treatment? Or are there different rules for different teams?
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team
