Okay. That’s good news! If Bradley can get back to old defensive form... I thought that was a bigger ‘if’ than what the above suggests.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

Shooting? Thats not why hes here. If you aint a shooter comin in, you aint a shooter all of the sudden. Just play D.

Actually, that's part of the appeal of Bradley... Like Beverley, he's a decent jump shooter, along with his defensive skills. Why I thought he was a logical fit at starting 1 for us.

Plus even Rondo became a reliable 3pt shooter after years of working on it.

So.... if a guy is hitting shots we should tell him not to take them because he's not a "shooter"? We have a guy on the team who's considered a "shooter" who's shooting about 40% on his career.... while we have another guy who's not considered one who's shot over 50% from the guard position a couple times and has shot 46% on his career. Sometimes what fans consider isn't really important.

Experience is the teacher here. You are what you are. When the star player drives to the basket, and dishes to the wing. When the star player is in the post, then the pass is sent out to said player. Just remember, who told you so.

I like this a lot, but it now sounds on Vogel like it’s gonna be Bradley. Happy to swap Dwight for Javale.

Predicted lineup:
PG: Bradley, SG: Green, SF: LBJ, PF: AD, C: Howard

Preferred lineup (while Kuz is out):
PG: Caruso, SG: Green, SF: LBJ, PF: AD, C: JMG
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

I'm gonna be so pissed if Coward is going to start instead of Mcgee...

Think of it this way. Its not always the start, but the finish that counts. Start howard, start mcgee, the key is getting mcgee healthy to the finish games.

McGee coming off one of his best seasons, while Dwight coming off of another season to forget.
McGee is probably better at both ends right now. Dwight will have to earn the starting spot.

It's amazing how a thread about this starting lineup generated 192 replies and yet I can hardly find a thread on the best closing lineup for this team. :banghead:
Pistons that got 2 rings didn't have the best starting lineup as Mahorn was the old token starter who barely played solid minutes there.
Spurs' 3rd best player Manu came off the bench and they won 4 rings with him playing solid minutes ?
Lakers used the Old AC Green as a starter when they won their first ring under Phil.

Exactly, throw dwight out there first, dont matter. If we get a stronger mcgee and AD down the stretch and at the end, thats what we want.

Alex Caruso is coming. Might not start but wouldn’t be surprised if he closes with Bron, AD, Kuzma and the hottest shooter.

Yep, looking for a rotation like this personally

1st 12:00 - KCP, Green, LeBron, AD, Howard
1st 07:00 - KCP, Bradley, Kuzma, LeBron, McGee
1st 01:00 - Caruso, Bradley, Daniels, AD, Howard
2nd 08:00 - Caruso, Green, Kuzma, AD, McGee
2nd 04:00 - Caruso, Green, Kuzma, LeBron, McGee
3rd 12:00 - KCP, Green, LeBron, AD, Howard
3rd 07:00 - Caruso, Bradley, Kuzma, AD, McGee
3rd 01:00 - KCP, Bradley, Daniels, LeBron, Howard
4th 08:00 - Caruso, Green, LeBron, Kuzma, AD

33 mins LeBron/Davis
26-28 mins Kuzma/Caruso/Green
20-22 mins KCP/Bradley/Howard/McGee
10 mins Daniels or Cook or Rondo or Dudley

I think McGee will start, but like we saw last season, he starts to wear down at about 10-15min in... So he may be the start and finish guy, with Howard getting a lot of minutes mixed in the rest of the game.

Bring McGee in for 10, sit him for Howard for 8, go small for 4, bring Mcgee back in to close the half for 2min... Start the 3rd with McGee for 8, go small for 6, Howard for 8, Mcgee to close for 2.

Something like that, modified for hot hands or matchups.

Lebron AD Rondo Green McGee

I dont mind Caruso in place of Rondo either.

I feel we should hold off Dwight for middle of games. I dont like him playing alongside AD.

I wouldn't put KCP OR KFC in the starting line up at the start of the season. He doesn't show up until like half way through the year LOL - He should not start
