I think the Knox and Trier bashing gets a little out of hand. To a degree DSJr, though I think he gets enough credit. Frank, obviously some of the "bad" takes are pretty unreasonable, but he's looked the closest to "bust" at times so far in his career.

Knox and Trier, while they have flaws, both flashed a LOT of talent while being rookies. I get Trier could/should show a little more as a 3 year college guy who is 23, but he was a rookie nonetheless and legitimately did some stuff very well.

Knox gets talked about like he's a total bust by some people, but he really flashed offensive skill at times. I get with the 8th or 9th pick there are some expectations on their career, but it's pretty apparent the guy can play. It's more a question of just how good.

I said this last year.

And then posted in almost every game thread.

:D

I might have tailed off posting in game threads at one point and didn't watch every game live. I just torrented them and watched a day late.

Might torrent some Brazzers highlights tbf

One, starting the vets takes all the pressure off our young guys like RJ, Frank, DSJ, Knox who all have something to prove this season. Let them come off the bench as a unit and develop some confidence and chemistry against the opposing team's second unit. They would certainly bring a lot of energy off the bench. Hopefully, this would help them develop some chemistry and a defensive identity. Let them make Fizdale change his mind. It's good for them. Let them feel slighted.

You know, it might nit be a bad idea to let them fell slighted TOGETHER. They could develop a bond over it. Eh, that's probably too far fetched. I don't think it'll work. Just let the best players start.

Light a fire under their asses. Are these games in the beginning of the season so crucial to our ultimate goals? Play the long game. Try something different. Employ "The Constanza Rule." Also, let's not forget that Payton and Randle had a good on-court rapport while in New Orleans. That's one less concern off Fizdale's plate, right? As for SG, yeah Ellington isn't our best player at the position but he'll be solid (i.e. won't make rookie mistakes, hit his outside shots, etc.).

The kids on the bench will be like a team of wild horses bucking to get out of the gate. If Smith/Trier/Frank/RJ excel, then you can think about making the necessary changes. Hopefully, the vets will set the tone by establishing a baseline of consistency and smart play. I really don't think this is such a radical idea. It's actually very old school. Can't always be cow-towing to these punks. :D Give them little tastes of it by putting them in positions they can succeed and develop confidence. (Ok, we can Iso Zo out of that mix, lol. But I like him as our microwave off the bench anyhow.)

So many questions...

How is Kev only 6’8”?
How is Dot taller than Frank?
DSJ is 6’3” still?

Not sure what Dotson's height is, but according to how the NBA generally put goes in shoes for measurements, Kev is like old fashioned 6'9" and Frank is 6'6.5"

Seems about right
