Frank Vogel On Anthony Davis: 'He's A Monster'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Oct 6, 2019 4:38 pm

Anthony Davis finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while LeBron James had 15 points and 8 assists in the Los Angeles Lakers 123-101 win over the Golden State Warriors in preseason.

Both Davis and James played 18 minutes each and sat out the entire second half.

"I thought he was great from the beginning of the game, just his offset on the offensive end just to be able to get us extra possessions with rebounding. Knocking down shots. I think he had like five dunks in the first half. And communication on the defensive end. He's a very cerebral player. It was a good start for him," said James about Davis' performance.

Frank Vogel was also impressed by Davis.

"He's a monster. It's going to be very difficult to slow him down with what we had around him. I'm excited about what he's going to do, and Lakers fans should be, too," added Vogel.

The only thing that can stop or slow down the Lakers is "injuries"...!

Wait... Pump your brakes. Hes a superstar. But beating up on g league bigs on the warriors and a very undersized draymond isnt going to earn me the unstoppable praise just yet. That was bullying or bum slaying at its finest. When do they play philly? Do that against them then ill be scared. Not against omari spellmen. Laker fans need to calm down. But it was very dominate, im not going to lie.

Ummm he had a line most players would like for a full
30+mpg so I think to say it was because it was against scrubs (Speilman/Chriss/Pascal/Green). Not sure Cauley-Stein would have made a bigger difference if he was on the court but I will agree they were a bit undersized which helped. This is going to be AD’s easiest season with the help he will get having defenses having to have key attention for LBJ as well. Going to be fun to watch as long as they stay healthy. Side not I really think the GSW have two solid young players in Poole & Paschal

Slow your roll Frankie and LA.

Exactly

You could say that for about 10 teams. Lakers have 0 depth

wcs would've made a difference. Hes a defensive specialist. Taller, much more athletic. Higher IQ then them other midgets. Draymond dont count either because ad can shoot over the top of him.

Warriors will be fine. Poole i seen is clearly a steal for them. Paschal i didn't really see the full game to say much about. But Looney was out to. Hes also a huge part to this new warriors. And dont forget about alec Burke. Hes going to be great for them and finally will be unleashed.

Think when fully healthy gs will fight the lakers in a playoffs series. Thats with klay. I was waiting to see who they had dhi was sneaky good. Poole is that guy. Paschal probably as well.
