Re: KD explains why the Knicks don’t get superstars
but the knicks have more wins than the nets the past decade, and the last time the nets were relevant was the early 2000's.
it became cool to be a net last february, but they went ahead and traded the guy that carried them to the playoffs.
in summary, durant is butthurt and has a fragile mind. new york media/social media will eat him alive.

Butthurt about what? He never intended to come to the knicks. That was knick fans and media. He’s playing for a organization that actually has a future ahead of them. Players in their prime want to win, history and what teams accomplished ages ago is irrelevant to what’s going on now.

Re: KD explains why the Knicks don’t get superstars
durant can say "the front office the past few years has made it unappealing, and the nets have a good young core"
that's 100% accurate.
durant saying the reason why is because the nets are more cool and because the younger generation don't remember the knicks being good is total bs because the nets were also just as bad in the same time frame.

durant's reasoning was about recent history about the knicks, so are we allowed to pick specific history?
the nets became "cool" last february and traded the player that got them to the playoffs.
in fact deangelo russell was cool, not the brooklyn nets.

I’m sure “more wins than the Nets in the past decade” is super relevant to a star free agent lol

durant brought up how the new generation of players don't remember the knicks being good.
i'm mentioning how both teams sucked the same time.

Come on now, KD. If you and Irving never went to the Nets they would be a while away from contending (I really liked last years Nets team).

That’s kind of what I’m saying though. In 2019, not 1999, not 2009, today and forward, the Nets have the better franchise and the better chance of winning. Unless KD plans on creating a time machine to go back to the 90s, why would past knock history matter to him? He’s not from NY. I love my boy DLO but Kyrie is way better.

AD wanted to go to the Knicks. Does he not count as a young superstar?
"[Davis] wanted to go to two places: New York or L.A," Paul reflects. "After the draft [lottery], I was able to see where everything lies. The fact that [the Pelicans] were going to get the first pick caused me to understand that it softened the blow of losing Anthony Davis because the organization could still have some momentum.

Yeah right you've lost 50 games every year five years in a row. KD said why your team is bad and no free agents want to play for them and of course you don't listen.
Will this year make it 6 years in a row?

Re: KD explains why the Knicks don’t get superstars
I probably wouldn’t want to play for Dolan, either. But I’ll say this: the trend of latching onto legacies you were never a part of might seem “cool”, and hell it might even bring you championships (like Durant), but it isn’t going to find you happiness or any form of contentedness (ask Durant). Doing what’s “cool” is gonna often leave you further away from the things you truly desire.
I’m unsure how much the “cool” thing actually played into Durant’s decision (playing with his best friend was probably the main - or even only - goal) but if it was part of his thought process, then I don’t think he learned the relevant lessons from his time in Golden State.
