Execs: Trade Market Currently Deadest They Can Remember In Years

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Oct 10, 2019 1:08 am

One consequence of the NBA's shorter average contract lengths is a lighter trade market until December 15th when players who signed free agent deals in the preceding offseason become eligible for trades.

The future of Bradley Beal with the Washington Wizards is one of the only possible trades on teams radars.

"Right now, from what I understand, there's almost no trade talks going on," said Brian Windhorst. "Like nothing. It's the deadest it has been that executives can remember in years. Most because like a third of the league just signed and there's just not many trade eligible guys.

"But I was talking to a team, 'Yeah, somebody called us about one of our Two-Way guys. We've never had a conversation about a Two-Way guy.'

"Part of that is it's a little bit dead in the NBA right now, but there's definitely Bradley Beal discussions already going on."

It’s because us Celtics are still just sitting on our powder, just keeping it dry, just biiiiding our time.

Just kidding can’t believe our rebuild ended up with Kemba and Kanter FML.

Hey, you got the Bucks pick next year. That could be like 25th overall if everything lines up right!

Kemba was just a reactionary signing, because of the whole Kyrie thing.

You probably wouldn't have seen much difference if you just stuck with Rozier over Kemba. Kemba doesn't really add wins to a team.

Celtics did great in bringing in Kyrie, by selling that Nets pick high... But waited on that Kings pick for far too long and it dropped in value significantly.

Tatum is good but not sure what the plan will be. Celtics looked so close, but the Jaylen Brown plateau and the Irving bailout killed it. The Hayward injury and loss of Horford just adds to that.

Kemba doesnt bring in wins ?

Lol okay pass that.
Kemba is levels above what you're saying.
Celtics wont win a championship but Kemba is going to help them to the playoffs make the all star team. Terry Rozier will never be able to do that.
