The San Diego Padres are believed to have narrowed their managerial search down to five men and Brad Ausmus is one of the candidates that will receive an interview.
Ausmus was fired by the Los Angeles Angels on Sept. 30.
Other candidates include Texas Rangers player development field coordinator Jayce Tingler and Ron Washington.
