Donald Trump: NBA Has To Work Out Their Own Situation With China

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 9, 2019 8:34 pm

Donald Trump was asked by the media if he's okay with how China is pressuring the NBA in the wake of a Tweet from Daryl Morey and he indicated it is up to the league to work out their situation.

“They have to work out their own situation. The NBA, they know what they’re doing," said Trump.

Trump also highlighted the way Steve Kerr responded to media questions about the topic. Kerr has been an outspoken critic of the current administration.

"He was like a little boy, he was so scared...he was shaking," said Trump.

Trump said Gregg Popovich seemed less scared to weigh in on the subject than Kerr.

He’s right about Steve Kerr’s response. For someone who always has an opinion on injustice matters, the man dodged the China/Morey topic in such embarrassing fashion.

It’s funny how people care about other people only when it doesn’t hurt them financially in anyway.

His comments would affect a lot of people’s livelihoods so Kerr is right not to make comment without first consulting with other parties.

All Kerr said was he wasn't current on what the situation was and was reading/learning more about it before commenting. That is what any logical person would say when they are not well versed on topic / discussion. Kerr was being himself and handled the questions from the media with grace as always.

That’s BS. Kerr was just in China last month for two weeks with Team USA. They did a lot of tourist stuff and sightseeing, learning about China’s history and political situation.

Kerr is a great coach... just a snowflake.

...that’s exactly what you’d expect to hear from someone looking for their own pockets. One of the Ringer’s staff even tweeted that it’s exactly what these coaches and players would likely to say to avoid losing $$.

But sure let’s pretend that he was telling the truth...how much time is Kerr going to need to learn up more about China? When can we expect to hear something from him on the topic? My guess? Don’t hold your breath.

He was IN China. Do you think the media IN China would be reporting anything negative or about the HK situation? Do you think they have tours, explaining about the HK situation?

Come on dude, Kerr may be BS'ing, but your reasoning is a lot worse.

Then I'm sure you'll stop watching the NBA and get rid of all your products made in China.

You’re telling me that people in China don’t know what’s going on in their own neighborhoods because of their fake news? C’mon. They’re not so cut off that they have no idea what’s happening 25 miles away.

All NBA staff traveling overseas are briefed on their destination’s public health and political situations. Kerr knew and knows exactly what was going on. He doesn’t need to read or watch the Chinese media to find out about this. What the hell was he doing in China then? Spending all his time watching tape in his hotel room?

And by the way, being on the ground somewhere is far better to assess a mood or situation than reading or watching Fake News. Team USA is given the best of the best everything... including tour guides and travel consultants.

Do YOU know the history and the reason between HK and China?

I don't think you do...

You seemed like just another loud mouth american who thinks he knows it all.

Doesn't mean he knows the full story and history between China and HK...
