Re: ATL: Training Camps are OPEN
I'm not a big Rubio fan but I think he was a really good addition by Phoenix, if only just so that they can finally end this terrible Devin Booker at PG experiment. I think Monty Williams can bring some much needed stability to the locker room as well. Ayton is the future of that franchise though, and they're not gonna take that much needed next step until they realize that.

He's trying to sell the present value of his contract to investors online.
Ex: If he's owed $34mm over four years, he'd offer those future cash flow streams to someone in exchange for say $28 million upfront today. (Hypothetical, as we don't know the numbers). For someone to do this, they'd either need all the money now for some reason, or believe they could invest it for a greater return than what they'd have sold the future interest off for.
I'm sure the league isn't a fan because some players might blow the lump sum payment and go broke before their contract was up.

thats kind of how I interpreted it also, just curious about how it will be solicited and offered to investors. Im intrigued and his lawyers did some good work to prove that it is in compliance with the CBA

You're just not educated about the situation at hand.
You need to kiss authoritarian ass to get that China money.

Only an activist when it doesn’t effect the bottom line right ? What a clown this guy is. Not surprising considering he’s been Nike’s pawn for the last two decades.

Didn't know I could hate Lebron more, this whole China fiasco has been an embarrassment to the league and entire country imo.

Re: ATL: Training Camps are OPEN
You have to wonder why Lebron will say this right now when the whole thing is dying out.Could a potential behind the scenes agreement between NBA-China require something like that before it's back to business as usual?I highly doubt Lebron or his PR team wants to take a hit like that with the american public.

Re: ATL: Training Camps are OPEN
I'm not going to wade into LeBron's geopolitical views, but when he said "my team" I took it to mean Klutch Sports and not the Lakers which is all kinds of depressing.
