So four clear blowouts for the Celtics preseason. The competition is not great but certainly nothing concrete to suggest they are going to be a team that struggles. OP is the only thing exposed.

Kanter is great in politics. Better than LeBron. I rather have Baynes at C tho. Al H. leaving for the Sixers hurt them. Just think if the Sixers rise up over the Bucks.

I think Kanter is just a stopgap for now. I think they are fine.

Horford will drop off a ton after this season so Celtics dodged a longterm bullet.

There's seemingly always 50 or so celtics fans coming in with salt pointing out the ridiculousness of any thread about the celtics. So I too wonder why such threads loom so large in the minds of many. We share that idea in common.

Or you could just look it up and see that Harris is actually only two years younger and has one more year on his deal...

We’ve all fully established that the Celtics are trash, will miss the playoffs, hoarded assets while at the same time made bad trades, can’t draft, Tatum isn’t good. What else am I missing here?

Not sure if I'd consider projecting 3rd or 4th seed in the east as overrating any team, by any standard.

I haven't seen anybody call them a "lock" for anything... The lock status has been reserved for Philly and Milwaukee and everybody else is a complete toss up. Perhaps people float Boston a little higher than the unknowns, but I haven't heard anybody scream from the roof tops that they'll be #3 nor make it out of the second round.

Cheer up, you guys will have a Christmas game this year. No need to hate Boston, they did nothing to you.

Maybe I'm salty.

Every year the Celtics are ranked higher than the Raptors. 3 of the last 4 seasons, the Celtics have been ranked above the Raptors with the Raptors having a better record in the end.

Again, ESPN / NBA / SI / Bleacher Report and Majority of fans here on RealGM have Boston above the Raptors.

I'm confused by this engrained bias that has the Celtics, via their franchise name, ranked higher than they should be year after year.

Hell it came out of Sam Mitchell and Isiah Thomas' mouth on the NBATV Raptors team preview. The east is full of very good team. The Bucks, the 76ers, the Celtics...

They're just tossed in with the elite without having earned it.

And the Raps have been 2 of the last 4. And have won 50 games how many years in a row?

But the talk around the Raps is solely around loosing Kawhi. The talk around the Celtics isn't around losing their entire frontcourt or having a razor thin bench, it's around Kemba and the growth of the young kids.

Funny thing is I actually like this Celtics team. I love Kemba, I believe in Tatum, love Brown and Smart is my spirit animal.

But having them almost unanimously ranked above the Pacers, Nets and Raptors for no other reason than they're the Celtics is ridiculous.
