Edwards is Eddie House 2.0. He looks smaller than 6ft too not sure I buy 6’1.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Their over under is 48 wins - the 8th highest in the league. I don't think too many people are sleeping on them. I think they are clearly the 3rd best team in the east.

I would easily guess they will have more than 48 wins.

I honestly don't blame him. You know some dumb team will throw him a max offer sheet.

I would be absolutely sick if the Bucks signed him to that deal.

Yea I don't get how you just turn that down. Sure, negotiate. Maybe go back with 4/90 and see what they say, maybe meet in the middle. Call it a day and never have to worry about money.

I was/am a Jaylen Brown fan, but last year was not flattering. He regressed. Maybe he is banking on breaking out this year with Kyrie gone...but with Kemba in town, Tatum the apple of the town's eye, and not to mention Gordon Hayward still technically living, breaking out and looking like a star will not be easy.

ETA: I also don't think he ever was going to be or will be a "star", per se.

Conspiracy theory:

Ainge and the Celtics let this go public to lessen the fan backlash when they bundle Brown in a package for Blake Griffin.

You have to be able to dribble, pass, and shoot to be a star. He's a tough, smart dude, but he checks very few boxes.

Some of you guys really think he isn't gonna get a better deal than what Harrison Barnes and Malcolm Brogdon just got? Agree to disagree. Youth (will only be 23) + draft pedigree + flashy attributes (elite athleticism and capable 3PT shooting) + barren FA landscape = the perfect recipe for some hopeless franchise (Charlotte, Knicks, Phoenix, Chicago) to throw the Brinks truck at him.

Never understood the hype around Jaylen. Dude should take the money. Though at this point I can't say I'd be shocked if some team offered more.

IDK, Jaylen always seems to play better than Tatum does against the Bucks.

Good points. With the FA bonanza that happened again this offseason are we kind of back to having Cap Space strapped teams again like the 2-3 offseasons before 2019? Honest question, with season just starting I'm very uninformed at this point.

Still, how much more can he get? His Max can't be that much more than that, probably in the 4/100 area. Is that worth the Achilles/ACL risk for the extra 10-15 mil?

Jaylen has had some flashes but I would be pretty nervous about his next contract. Can only be young and have potential for so long until you are who you are.

Speaking of that. Did not know Jabari was on the Hawks.

Hey now, one of these days, I'm gonna break out and not be the last pick at the Y. I still have (relative) youth and (minute) potential.

I know Draymond was never the best scorer but it’s almost painful to watch him on offense these days.
