The Atlanta Falcons have traded Mohamed Sanu to the New England Patriots for a second-round draft pick, according to sources.

Sanu, 30, is in his eighth season and has 33 receptions for 313 yards and one touchdown in 2019.

Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon and Phillip Dorsett have all been on the injury report in recent weeks.

Sanu is under contract through next season.

The Pats don't usually get fair value in trades, but they keep on winning. Seems like a lot to give up for a third receiver, but maybe that's what is missing for them to get another Super Bowl while Brady is still ambulatory.
