Clippers played LeBron to pass. Now that he's lost a step his bad footwork is leading to lumbering drives that end below the rim or with a telegraphed pass

That's a flaming hot take.

If you gave me 150 games from Kawhi/Geroge I'd put money on it.

There were definitely moments where Lebron looked a step too slow

Clippers are better than I thought. Depth. Defense. Gritty role players. And they cover for their lesser defenders (Shamet, Lou, Trezz).

AD posting is simply awful basketball and the fundamental reason he isn't as impactful as he should be.

Lakers were relying on Quinn Cook to be their playmaker with <6:00 in a close game. That's a PROBLEM.

Gentry lost the Pels the game by having Okafor in with 3:00 to go.

Couldn’t tell if Lebron or Luke Maye...

Are you including playoffs? Otherwise Kawhi and his 60-65 games is probably going to make 150 between him and PG pretty hard to come by

I agree it pretty much has no shot of happening. But if it did, I'd put money on 70 wins from that team. They have it.

Clippers will steamroll everyone if they have both PG and Kawhi healthy. Most teams dont have the wing defenders to handle 1 let alone both of them.

AD looked pretty average but guess it will take some time.

Dwight played pretty well.

They have no assets. That’s the crazy part. Pels control their draft and took most of their average players.

Lakers need Kuzma back to lead that bench unit.

I only skimmed through it but from what I saw it looks like Howard has slimmed down a lot to make up for ageing/bad back but also looks like he's gained no spring/quickness from it. He just looked like an unskilled, average sized PF. But again I only watched a few minutes each of the first and last quarters.

Completely forgot about Kuz. Him and Rondo coming back will help.

They could really use someone like Austin Rivers though.

I'm curious to see how long the "Lebron just doesn't care about the regular season" excuses continue before people eventually reason that he's just not the best player in the world anymore.

yea this is a thing lingering in the background in LAL that will probably more negatively affect that team than people realize.

Yea I think the Clips are gonna be the team to beat. I know it's one game, but I've thought this going into last offseason. They had all the role players and hustle guys in place. If they got at least one superstar to go with it they'd have a chance. They got that star and added another star right below the superstar level as well. They should be team to beat.

Lakers teams is so weak after LBJ AD. Green is perfect role player, Kuzma is fine. Then it's pretty much bad. Throw in that LBJ could be finally slowing with AD always being hurt so I'd put them below Clips in pecking order. For the Lakers to have a serious run LBJ pretty much has to go back to being 2018 LBJ, if he's dropped a level I don't think they can do it as I doubt AD is that 'lead, carry your team all the way' type guy.

Just flipping a guy like LouWill from Clips to Lakers would change things a ton. Lakers are going to severely be missing that type of skillset, not dissimilar to how the Bucks were missing that last year too.

Think the NBA world is already there. Bill Simmons proclaimed him the third best player on the court last night, said it wasn't even debatable.
