Yeah thats how i look at this situation as well. If underperfoming is taken at face value and they win 45 games and are the 5 seed and get bounced in the 1st or 2nd round then sure what he said makes sense. If he meant we dont win the championship he'll question staying any longer then he's clearly not the person we all have thought he was for the last 7yrs because thats a bogus thing to say.

That either the Bucks legitimately flame out and it's a little more understandable or he's not who we thought he was as a competitor.

I don't understand why you some of you guys are taking up arms over an anodyne quote about not wanting to drag a **** team around for his entire professional life. If this team isn't good, he should want to play someplace else. At this stage in his career, if a team with Giannis on it isn't competing for titles, something is seriously wrong with that team. And who cares who reported it.

My take on how to go forward with the team:
Patience and smart moves.

Target teams with aged coaching systems, find the player that underperforms there but whose skills can be useful in Bud ball. Get him via trade so that we don't disrupt the cap and maybe get an exception. So basically buy him when his price is low and inflate the price of our players with Bud system.

You can say that this was always the unattainable move, but now we have the chance to actually do trades like that because of Bud.

Last, have flexibility and patience. If an all-star type player expresses a desire for a trade, like Bledsoe did, be ready.

In all other cases, stay put. Develop your young players in order to become real assets. We are in a good place right now. No need to get fancy, unless the move is an obvious improvent.
