New Orleans in: Paul, Wilson, DDV, 2020 IND FRP, 2021 MIA FRP, 2024 MIL FRP (lottery protected)
New Orleans out: Holiday, Moore
Pelicans replace Jrue with Paul to mentor their young guys, who is also on a three year contract. Well it costs 45 mil more and Holiday is the better player at this point, but they get compensated with three (mid-low) FRPs and two more young players.
Oklahoma in: Moore, Hill, R. Lopez, Ilyasova
Oklahoma out: Paul, 2021 MIA FRP
Thunder get out of Paul's contract using only one FRP, which they will be able to take back using the expirings they get.
Bucks in: Holiday
Bucks out: Hill, Ilyasova, R. Lopez, Wilson, DDV, 2020 IND FRP, 2024 FRP (lottery protected)
Bucks add Holiday without losing Bledsoe. They will be at 129,1 mil with 11 players after this trade, which leaves them just enough money to fill the roster with buyout players and avoid the tax.
Bledsoe
Holiday..........Matthews..........Brown
Middleton.......Connaugton.......Korver
Giannis..........Thanasis
Lopez............Bender
Thats a terrible trade for us. Hill is a perfect fit for our offense and we are in peak win now mode.
Also, Bledsoe and Holiday (and their low 3pt shooting) on the court at the same time would ensure that Giannis gets triple teamed every time.
Lastly, thats basically all of our assets (plus two important vets) for the next four years in one trade for a guy with suspect durability.
Good try, no thanks.
Any Holiday trade starts with Milwaukee Out: Bledsoe
