Interesting game. Both teams have guard dominant teams (Paul, Schroeder, and Alexander vs Lillard, McCollum, and Simons). Who will prevail!!!

well, Lillard isn't returning to the scene of the crime, but he is seeing the victim of his shot for the first time since.

I wonder if one shot has ever had such a big and immediate impact on a team as Dame's walk-off series winner?

Lillard's shot was huge, sure, but iirc we were tied up when he took it. Just saying that there wasn't as much pressure there, then if we were down 1 or 2 points. Also, and I could be wrong, but didn't Harkless make a 3 in the corner the previous possession to tie that game up. Much bigger shot IMO.

Dame's a great player, no doubt, but the all praise with no criticism is getting old. No one says anything bad about him EVER, like it's blasphemy to do so. IMO we lost the SA game because of the Carmelo-like numbers he put up, but all anyone says is how great he was in the 4th.

No real rest for the weary, Shai and CP3 are two really good defenders in the backcourt. CJ in particular is going to have his hands full with the length of Shai. I expect SGA to have a big game.

Danilo is the darkhorse here. It would have been nice to have Zach to try and contain him on the perimeter. As is, the only player capable of playing the perimeter with length to match DG is Skal, and he lacks the footspeed and IQ to keep him in front on drives. Danilo could go off in this game...

It's going to be real interesting when Lillard faces Houston...I'm sure Westbrook has that one circled on the calendar in a Mike Tyson kind of way.

I'm of the opinion that Westbrook/PG pairing was going to be broken up anyway, unless they went really far in the POs...I'm sure Lillard's shot didn't slow up the door closing, however.

I haven't been noticing excessive praise, but yeah he definitely has some faults that would be nice if he could improve at. Like his streaky 3 point shooting. He's obviously a capable shooter based off his range and ft percentage. But he's been around 37% from 3 the last few years and is currently at 29% for this season. If he were more like 40% that would be really nice. He also sometimes is not a good passer.

But I think his defense looks better this season so far, and his ability to take over a game is awesome.

Damian has struggled from 3 so far, in two different ways; taking unnecessarily difficult contested 3PT shots and missing wide open 3PT shots. But his defense to me looks better, and his finishing is just nuts. He has shown some dunks so far in this short season that make me think he is somehow more athletic than ever.

I did. I love him, but he's is less than "clutch". I don't know the stats, but it seems he actually shoots a lower than average % in clutch situations. And he forces up some bad shots (though not as bad as CJ). He's good enough to single handedly win you a game though, but I just think both he and CJ need to get better at picking their shots.

Both Harden and Westbrook both know what it's like to be beat on a Lillard walk off playoff buzzer beater.

Blazers could start Mario in this game. OKC is playing a small lineup.

No Adams? Whiteside should be able to dominate the boards

This foul call on Whiteside seems iffy to me he gets a lot of ball on the attempted shot.

Solid 1st quarter Blazers taking this team seriously not thinking this is just an easy win.
