Yeah if Embiid wasn't a moron he would have been playing tonight I have 0 sympathy for your dumb ass C and his ridiculous suspension.

True they didn't have Embiid but still any of Collins, Whiteside, Nurkic, or Gasol would have really helped.

Portland had too many stupid turnovers. Like over and back and stepping over the line on inbounds. They need to learn how to not get lazy when they have a lead.

I think part of the problem was giving the ball to others besides Lillard in the last 2 minutes, I mean Tolliver and Baze both missed some big time buckets that would have been the difference. I am not sure why Lillard was deferring pretty heavily in this one they weren't trying to send 2+ defenders at him to get the ball out of his hands.

Yeah he was seeing a lot of defensive attention but I would have lived with him chucking some 3s instead of some of the alternatives that happened.

Indeed especially in a game where Lillard was draining a good number of those 3's.

Rough loss. I freaking love Ant and Hood. So nice to have some dudes out there that play the game smartly. Nice to not have to scratch my head all the damn time watching Meyers, Hark and Aminu out there...

I've been on the trade CJ train for a long time, when he's hot he's hot but also an epic ball stopper. When he's off it's just dumb shots and turnovers galore. Trade him for depth and let Simons flourish next to dame!

It's too bad the ref's didnt call Simmons for the foul in Hood. He totally threw his shoulder into Hood as he went by. Took Hood out for the rest of the game. Makes me like Simmons even less... if that is possible.

Lmao stop complaining it was a hard fought win. Portland couldn’t win even with the benefit of a trillion calls going their way all night.

I was gonna tell you to piss off, but I think monopoman already did.

Uh, Embiid was out for the Sixers. Furthermore, Portland was making ridiculous shots and shooting ridiculous percentages all night long, especially from deep. Doubt they could do that on a regular basis.

We have people that can hit 3 pointers bud, also at home this team usually shoots a bit better like most teams do. I'm not sure why the **** there are like 4 Sixer fans posting on this board though.

Not to mention most running their mouth have very few posts like they just made an account in the last week. Are the Sixers the hot new bandwagon or something?

With Nurkic, Whiteside, Gasol, and Collins injured, the Blazers have/had no one who could handle Horford in the paint. The guy knows how to use his butt to clear a little space. Tolliver and Labissierre just dont have the strength to challenge him down low.

Okay... there were a couple ridiculous shots. But a lot of it was straight up awful defense by Philadelphia.

They only look ridiculous because Philly doesn't have many shooters. Everyone but Whiteside on the Blazers shoots 3. You should watch more Blazers games. Then you would know they make a lot of those ridiculous shots.

Ouch. Tough loss...Anybody understand why Skal didn't play the last few minutes? That was kind of a head scratcher to me...

CJ...again, he just doesn't provide enough of anything else besides scoring. He REALLY needs to figure out how to get to the FT line consistently. His shots at the rim have been off so far this year--those high runners look atrocious.

Bazemore is hurting the team more than helping with his defensive intensity. He's really struggling to finish at the rim as well...that might just be a thing with him. He's trying to do a little too much right now.

I was impressed with Mario tonight. And Hood was having a good game...another feather in a very efficient beginning of this season. Hope he's not out long.

As for the Centers. First of all, the Blazers know they don't have Nurkic till later in the season. They signed a washed up and injured Gasol who had surgery like a week before the season started. They trade for Whiteside, who has his share of games missed due to inury...what are people expecting? I still say signing Gasol was a mistake. The Center/PF depth was light to begin with. Now it's effectively Skal/Tolliver, loads of small ball, and some likely losses. The Blazers needed to sign somebody who could give them effective minutes.

Also some pretty damn poor Philly defense was leaving shooters open more or less. Thus why the Blazers were hitting more of them...

That was a tough loss, but I thought they played really well, especially in the first half. Two quick points:

1. Go back and look at the foul by Simons that took Rodney out of the game. Anybody else think that was malicious, and with intent to injure Hood? I do, and there's very little doubt in my mind. He's a dirty player, and I've seen him make similar plays in the past. The coaches number one job is to protect his players, and if was me, I would have gone all Pete Carol on his azz, send Trent in for a hatchet job on that POS. Dude would be walking on one leg for the next few months if it was up to me.

2. In the past, I've been pretty high on CJ and a huge supporter, but he looks way worse this year. He's clearly forcing up bad shots, and focused on HIS numbers. I suspect he's getting a little jelly of Dame, with all the props and all-star appearances. With the addition of Hood, Baze, and the obvious readiness of Simons, I would definitely remove him from the untouchable list, and maybe lood to facilitate a trade for him, so he could be the star on another team. Just off the top of my head... CJ for K Love works straight up. I might make that call in the morning if I were Neil, considering the win it all this year talk, and the obvious need for a big man now. Waiting 3 weeks could really hurt our chance at a successful playoff push.

I'd look to make CJ the centerpiece of a trade with Orlando. CJ+Little+1sts for Bamba+Gordon type deal. Then move Whiteside for something at the deadline.

CJ scares the **** out of me. He's been regressing for years now. The 2016-17 season, the guy looked like a budding star. Now, he looks more like a way overpaid Lou Williams.

Portland's summer decisions to trade Harkless and Turner and allow Aminu to walk have come to roost
for its amazing to see injury gods strike a particlar position that is thin.

Not much Portland can do until the team can trade Bazemore or Whiteside.

Meh... I'm not sure what you're actually trying to say.

I trust Bazemore faaaaaaaaaarrrrrr more than Turner to this point. I wouldn't bring back Aminu for what he got. That would kill our cap for next year and Aminu is showing how overrated he was by playing putrid in Orlando.

The Harkless/Meyers for Whiteside trade was fine. Whiteside should be back soon, and while he's not great, he's better than both of the players going out. Wing isn't the Blazers problem right now, it's bigs. Besides Meyers, who I wouldn't want to trust out there... we'd still have no bigs.

I don't understand how your position correlates to the Blazers situation though.
