Or they'll at least give them the chances to mess up before finding out if they're worth anything. We'd be wondering 2-3 years in how to integrate players because of egos and some perceived hierarchy that really doesn't exist when it comes to teams without superstars.
Yea, but all there young players are skilled. Nunn, Herro, Duncan & Bam. Nunn was the 2nd best NCAA scorer & best 3P shooter, Herro was compared to Booker, Duncan is a awesome shooter & Bam got a great handle & is a point center.
In our whole rebuild, we drafted one skilled player (Hezonja) and even he was not skilled in the end. He coudn't dribble & his shot looks great but never goes in.
Just check Charlotte, everybody thought they gonna be the worst team in the leaque, but they drafted a lot mid to late 1st rounders with athletic or height defecits, but all are skilled & now can play good offensive ball (Bacon, Monk, PJ., Graham).
I have the feeling the skilled players get it done over the last 2-3 drafts, no matter where they were drafted. Maybe our FO should take a look.
