He got a Lowe shout-out in his latest 10 things I like and don't like article (as the 11th thing).

But he is already special on defense. I can't remember the last rookie wing to move with such liquid grace and speed. Maybe Kawhi? Thybulle is barely logging 20 minutes per game, and he leads the league in both steals and deflections.

That seems to be a prevailing theme about guys we pick coming out of the University of Washington. We don't seem to know too much about we just trade for them and hope for the best.

When the 76ers play the Magic I want to see him on Fultz.

Thybulle could be the difference maker for this season. I can't express enough how important it is for a player to completely kill momentum with a deflection or block once the other team starts going, especially in fast break scenarios. There are aspects of his one on one defense that need work, but he currently one of the most disruptive defensive players in the league and I don't see that slowing down (knock on wood).

The crazy thing about Thybulle is his upside as a 3pt shooter.

He’s everything we want Roco to be IMO.

Specially the motor!

He's gambling more than Roco, against the Wolves he left his man on more than one occasion. He's also nowhere near the rebounder Roco is and if he'll ever become the type of floor spacer is also questionable. But I think he has better handles than Roco and his ability to recover after getting beat initially makes him an on-ball defender with huge upside.

Did anybody see the pic of Matisse boarding the plane earlier today? Carrying his monopoly board. The guy is so likeable

Matisse has been great. Probably a starter in the 2 games Embiid misses.

Good test for him tonight dame/cj are probably the best guard duo in the NBA. Interesting to see how Simmons and Matisse handle them

Probably, Richardson on Lillard and Thybulle on CJ. Simmons will cover them on switches.

Simmons versatility is underrated. He can cover almost everyone from 1 to 4.

didn't see the last two games. what's up with thybulle's minutes? we're 5-0 in games where he's played 15+ minutes and 0-2 in games where he gets less....

I agree, but I think he has been getting into foul trouble and pretty worthless on offense. He needs to evolve as the teams get more tape on him.

He's been bad on the road trip and we've needed offense. Had 4 fouls in less than 5 minutes in PHX.

I'd like to see him continue to get minutes and get rope on offense. He's developing a good feel in the two man game with Ben. When he takes 3 or more dribbles it's a disaster but he's exhibiting growth. Another plus is that he's just firing away from 3, misses be damned. Taking all these shots will pay off in the long run.

I think the issue is that Korkmaz is also proving he needs minutes and Brett only really has 20-25 minutes for the two of them combined with a full roster. I'd like to see Ennis play less to give Korkmaz and Thybulle more time but Ennis has been solid so far too.

The last two games he's been pressing and looking like a chicken running around with its head cut off.

Teams are wising up to him freelancing all over the court and some vets are taking him to school by baiting him into committing stupid fouls.

He needs to find a balance where he's playing more disciplined without sacrificing his defensive aggression.

I remember BB mentioning an algorithm the team uses to determine how players play alongside each other. I wonder if this is a trial period to collect data on Burke/Neto/Furk before reinserting Matisse back into the lineup. Otherwise, I can't find good enough reason to bench him entirely.

Not in love with that attitude. Feels out of character based on everything else we've seen out this kid. Hard to judge something like this in print.

Yeah. He's definitely going to have the highs and lows as a rookie. Just seems like after that start expectations get skewed for all parties. It is hard to say without hearing him say it though.

Yeah, looks like it could have been taken wildly out of context. Wouldn't read too much into it. From all I've seen, he looks extremely mature and even-keeled and I don't think the odd DNP-CD will affect him much in the short term.

You can't get to 15 minutes if you're committing a foul every 2 minutes. And it doesn't help your cause by bricking multiple layups in close losses.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Agreed. He gets the benefit of the doubt, just worth noting if something else pops up.
