Aggain with the low IQ posting - just because you are a homer doesn't mean everyone else is. As I've said many times, Gobert deserves to be All-NBA center. Embiid didn't play enough. And Jokics game today is exactly what I have been saying - his box scores look great, but aside from the 3pt and the flop he was really poor today, he repeatedly got exposed on defense, he got saved a lot by Embiid trying to play hero ball once he had blown by him. Embiid playing stupid basketball, and Brown keeping Neto in cost the Sixers, and Murray won it for the Nuggets. Jokic looked bad all game until the last few seconds.

The more you say about Jokic the saltier you seem. Jokic had a great game both by the eye test and statistically (other than the missed 3's). His defense was good, he played smart and contributed in a lot of different ways.

At some point you're going to have to admit that Jokic is pretty effin' good.

I actually think Embiid is a bit better than Jokic, btw. Not tonight he wasn't, but in general he is.

You can only gain so much insight from box scores. I'll wait until you have a chance to watch the game before commenting further.

Miami's 2 weaknesses got exposed tonight. Lack of star power and lack of a front court. The two things that keep them from being a true contender. Just not there yet.

Lakers D is truly impressive
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

The NBA has killed us with the scheduling so far. At least let us have a back to back at home.

I actually disagree. The Blazers start falls almost completely on the shoulders of CJ McCollum. The Blazers have plenty of issues. CJ has a track record that I won't disregard of being a solid scorer. But If CJ plays to his averages, the Blazers have 6 or 7 wins right now. Wings don't fix this team. CJ playing like an NBA player fixes this team.

The Lakers defense is so good that it completely nullifies their sometimes anemic offense and lack of shooting. Holding the best shooting team in the league to 17% beyond the arc is impressive.

This Laker team looks legit especially on defense.

You guys!?... Ooof Portland too. 2 back to backs already. 13 of the first 16 on the road. Schedules need to be fixed up a bit.

If you think this is bad, they're next back to back will have them playing in Philly on the second night. It just sucks because it's hard to get a good gauge on the team when you have to deal with that.

Exactly.

Tired legs will generate short shots. The funny thing is Miami’s back 2 backs have been all on the road.
The NBA figured the Heat were chit no biggie

GB said Lakers wouldn't make the playoffs and ESPN's panel of experts gave them a 0% chance to win the title.

That's why they need to take care of business against weaker Eastern teams and be a great team at home. What has doomed Miami in recent years is how many leads they have given up and losing to bad teams. If they do this they should be in a good spot come April.

If you want to start stupid things like judging the favorites after 7 games I have a better idea - Let's judge them after 1.

Lakers lost to Clippers without PG so ESPN was right!
