Who's the best PG in the league for the 2019-20 season, now that Curry is out

Post#1 » by Gibson22 » Sat Nov 9, 2019 10:31 am

So, you can still vote curry if you think that he still will be the player who'll provide the most value for his team once and if he comes back but that's highly unlikely. I have Harden as a SG since he plays with RW and he played the last 2 seasons with CP3, plus he started his career as a SG and he has a SG body and he doesn't guard PGs. I'm putting Simmons here because his team has no other ball handler in the starting five, even if I see him as a PF and his career will go in that direction once his team gets the elite guard that they need.

Lebron. Like Simmons, the team has no other ball handler in the starting 5

You should probably add Malcolm Brogdon to the list. It's early, but he's been killing it.

Lebron. Luka have honorable mention.
And please don't bring up Avery Bradley as PG crap.

Have him as SG.. don't see what's this fetish for calling everybody a PG. Seth and brunson are the PGs.

So who is Dallas PG than? Have you seen Lineups they paying, he is not only playing PG position, he is playing along side guys like Lee and Finney-Smith, who I doubt can even bring the ball down the court...

Talks about fetish for calling everybody a PG

Proceeds to call seth a PG...

Dude is clearly an SG averaging 1.4 assists and not initiating the offense.

That said, I'm not a big fan of calling guys like bron or luka PGs. To me, their simply transcendent basketball players who can do a wide range of things due to their versatility, skillset and size.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Its clearly Lebron.
The PG runs the offense, dribbles the ball up the court, primary ball handler and playmaker.
Just because a player guards the opposing point guard does not make him the damn PG.
July 4 2016, Kevin Durant declared his dependence day, dependent on the guys he couldn't beat!

Not that he's in contention for the best, but Kyle Lowry is as good or better than half that list.

PG is offensive role and Luka is a PG. Just because hes not 6'3 or shorter, doesnt mean hes not a PG, he was PG all his life, the only guards hes playing with are Seth and Lee who have zero PG in them. Guy calls Seth a PG, why, because hes shorter than Luka, give me a break.

I think part of it is that Carlisle always says Doncic is a PG.

Lowry should have been on the poll before his thumb injury last night.
