This was my thought as well. I can see Paxson lamenting this injury as an excuse when he gets asked about missing the playoffs in the end of year press conference.

Might work out better hutch is a better defender, and does a lot of little things. Only thing that hurts us is the spacing because hutch isn't a outside shooter.

Should have signed another wing. Instead we have a bunch of 6'3" guys.

The way that this is going it looks like OPJ is going to opt-in for the last year of his contract.

I think that he could go back and work on his core conditioning.

Still, he's a great talent that can really do it all, so I'm hoping that he makes a full recovery this season.

Looking forward to his return.

This is actually good IMO. Hutch needs the reps and there might even be a Val sighting.

Hutch sucks and is barely nba caliber player. It’s like if wendel gets hurt and they start felicio because he is a big body rather than Thad who is a better player. Absolutely white should be the one to start. It’s a no brainer.
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

Said this would happen, Otto gets hurt and we have no viable wings. Roster is filled with centers who can't shoot (including Kornet) and PGs who can't shoot.

plus I REALLY don't need to see anymore three guard lineups

You must have loved our 4 guard lineup we played vs ATL in the 2nd half with Otto out.

Valentine isn’t a SF, he might be taller but hes a guard. He should come back from the g league as another option but honestly I don’t think he’s ready yet. After missing a year he needs a a lot of time. Harrison is probably the back up SF.

I knew this was coming when he left the game. Get one SF back and lose the other one.

A 6'3" SF that can't shoot. Who thought this college sized roster was a good idea?

How is it good? Hutch was getting minutes regardless and now we're down Otto.

Otto being out is a big blow on so many levels. Firstly, we lose arguably our best 3pt shooter (40% this season). Secondly, we weaken our bench by having to insert one of our bench contributors into the starting lineup. Thirdly, we lose positional size on the wing. And lastly, Otto is the captain and one of the leaders of the team. I don't know how long he will out for, but it better not be for too long.

I'm being hyperbolic but I do think Hutch will benefit from the additional PT. I'm also one of the few who thinks he has potential.

It's early so it gives Hutchison more minutes to see if he's made progress. Maybe Valentine returns sooner from his G League stint.

But all the people on the trade board who constantly come up with ways to trade Porter's contract, they don't seem to care much about him as a player, THIS is why other teams aren't going to be giving up 1st round picks to get his contract or him as a player. He does tend to get injured and even when he's healthy he can't give you 38 minutes very often. He's not this huge asset that the Bulls can offer other teams. The Bulls can afford him because they hope Hutchison and Valentine can step it up with additional minutes
