Kemba has been way better than I expected. His defense is much much better than I thought and his shooting too. I doubt he can sustain 46% but right now the dude is lethal coming off a screen at the top of the key. It’s practically a layup

Kemba is a better shooter, better defender, and better passer than I expected. He's low-maintenance, low ego, and a great teammate. And probably the most clutch 4th quarter shooter in the NBA thus far.

Night and day improvement over Kyrie.

I really can’t think of a Boston athlete in my lifetime so universally despised after walking out the door. It’s surprising so little of that leaked out ( some did ) over past 2 years. There is still a lot of pent up frustration being vented.

Yeah, the stories of shared responsibility for last year's debacle are officially debunked. One toxic guy caused the problems.

Kemba's 1st season in Charlotte: It took them 66 games to get to 7 wins. (full season)
Kemba's 1st season in Boston: It took them 9 games to exceed 7 wins. (11% of season)

I have a feeling he's gonna be happy in Boston.

Yeah even when the team & Kyrie was smiling & having fun last year (although very rarely) it just felt fake IMO.

I read somewhere that this is the longest winning streak of Kemba's career. I don't know if that's true, but it seems likely.

Yep, you're correct. Previously 7 games in March 2016.

I see it as Kyrie is a moody guy, with some clear personality issues who lacked the self awareness to recognize the damage he added to the team.. then, he chose to back out of his plan, and went to play at home with his best buddy. When looking at it that way, I find it very hard to feel any frustration, but, I guess we need a villain. I just don't see it.

Isn't it more exciting to just say.. "Kemba is awesome!" Than to embody.. "Kemba is everything Kyrie isn't!" ? JMO

Kemba! Doing this while NOT dominating the ball, or disrupting the flow of the offense or hindering the progress of the Jays. One can argue he's more efficient because he's playing within the team offense. Those catch-and-shoot threes coming off screens have raised his career-high TS% for sure.

Wiggins is a legit shocker. Old friend Baynes and my trade binky Meyers Leonard up there on the low-volume list.

I was very critical of the signing and am impressed. The chemistry on the court is fantastic so far and like most have said the defense and hustle are much better than anticipated.

Tonight’s game vs the Wiz highlighted that most of us didn’t ever think you could win a title with IT, but you sure feel like you could with Kemba.

I'd compare the Kemba experience in Boston to having a girlfriend who is beatiful, loyal, fun to be around and most importantly is a pretty darn good match for you. There will be ups and downs like in every other relationship, but bottom line is you are happy in this more often than not.

On the other hand the Kyrie experience is like being with the hottest gal in town, who however throws tantrums all over the place, is a toxic person and might be dumping you for someone else at any given moment. Guess in which situation any level-headed dude would like to be in...

Will go down as the best free agent signing in franchise history.

Despite giving me horrific flashbacks of that Bucks series, this video breakdown is perfect.

In 8 years and 604 games, Kemba’s longest winning streak was 7 games.

In first 8 games in Boston he equaled that and now with 9 straight has a chance to get his first 10 game winning streak in his 11th game. That has got to feel good.

It didn't take long for Kemba to warm up at TD Garden.
